Does your saxophone speak an octave too high? Try this!

This is a simple exercise that I learned from one of Joe Allard's students. Mr. Allard called this 2 to 1 (2nd partial to fundamental).
Try this if your notes have been speaking higher than you intend them to, or just as a tone building exercise.
Sometimes, we have to approach the saxophone as a machine that wants certain things. It's not terribly musical, but it will help us to be so in the future!
