Very underrated still guys... I found this song during a very dark time in my life. The melody and lyrics hit close to home and everything that influenced me to become a musician myself. This is a beautiful song guys and it's been therapeutic to me. Know that even though you may not have reached the success you thought you were going to, you've done great things for people with your music 🙏💪👌

I'm not anti-clean vox because there's some styles of clean vocal I like. It's just that I particularly enjoyed the debut album which was without cleans and to gain a wider audience they've obviously gone down the route of clean vocal like a lot of other bands have just to line their pockets. I'll hold me hands up if the 2 songs they've posted are the only songs on the album with these style of clean vocal but I have my doubts.
I guess so, although for me there are also changes to the positive; I prefer BMTHs newer stuff over their old some goes for Dark Tranquillity so it can also be the other way around. But doing drastic changes always bears the risk of loosing fans not only getting new ones. ;-)
There is a fine line between metalcore and melodeath, but this is leaning towards the melodeath side. Though they defiantely have that agressive/ punk type style that early melodic metalcore bands had in the earlly 00s

NO music can be Labelled "new" anymore. But innovation can be made, even of only slight and I feel these guys are doing that. Not sayin their unique. And as for BFMV? Are YOU fucking kidding me! They sound nothing alike. Listen to Waking The Demon by BFMV and then listen to Revive in Me by Dreamshade and tell me the tracks sounds the same.

The debut was great for the fact that there wasn't so much clean vocal. Now it sounds as though it's going to be more prominent and it's really boring. It's a shame because the debut was very promising and one of my favourite albums of 2011. I guess if it makes them some extra cash though then who can blame them. P.S. "It's not too late" to change back on your next album.
I am a bit disappointed with the direction they are taking, for sure. BUT they still wipe the floor with 995 of bands who are trying to do this genre. I just hope after this release they go back to their melodeath roots and drop the bandwagon BS because they are one of the most incredible bands I have ever heard in terms of melody - they're better than the modern overdone melodeathcore genere or whatever u wanna call it. Still, this is beautiful. Can't wait for the album.

So if you heared the first album why you are complaining ?¿ wide awake , only memories remain, as serenity falls for example have very cheesy riffs and melody ; clean vocals were predictable in their style, and i found it better now cuz the singer makes differents range. Really boring is screaming in the same way , when you have melodic riffs in the song, a good example of that singing style is Heaven Shall Burn , their music is very good but the singer just scream in the same way in every song
sorry but they do have changed, take a look at their first EP at the edge of reality. I'm not sayin this is bad. but I just don't like much the new metalcore influences (which are getting even stronger than in WSH as far as I can tell from these two tracks)
You know, I always been a sucker for clean vocals, but I feel the instrumental itself worsened a bit, compared to the sheer awesomeness that was What Silence Hides... More melodeath bands should remember that there's no contract that requires them to become metalcore bands if cleans are included.
A shame that Iko is gone =( The new guy definitely isn't bad, but I don't like the way they produced the clean vocal parts, and how much they increased the number of them. Sounds a bit generic... Nevertheless, instrumentals still sound great! If you don't have it yet, you HAVE to get What Silence Hides, that album is a bomb!

I totally agree. Their EP and What Silence Hides had some of the best pieces I've ever heard. This is still good, but Iko was better on vocals.
I think the new singer is better, their new stuff is much more unique than their old stuff in my opinion.
