I worked for a firearms importer back in the 1980's and if I remember correctly getting guns OUT of the country they're being purchased from is relatively simple. As long as you've got an export license and a letter of credit to pay for them they don't care where they're going. Getting them IN to this country is where the red tape comes into play. But, things may have changed since then, I'll admit it.

The local German firemarms licencing department sent me all paperworks pre-filled out, the Dutch agency did everythign via e-mail. In total maybe 3 e-mails back and forth, I did not even have to go to show it to any agency once I got. Super simple.
Some of the ATF members probably want those collectible firearms When it comes to ATF I don't trust them Thanks for the video always nice to look at some cool weapons
The Arabic letters on the Walther pistol for the Turkish Police, read from right to left, are the letters Y and Q. As for the Persian pistol, the year 1939 is minted. Specifically, the year 1317, to which we add 622 years, it comes out what you can see, but there is a nuance in which month, because the Persians still use the lunar calendar, so it could be 1939. As for the rest of the subtitles, you need a very clear picture to decipher.
Postwar PPs and PPKs are quite cheap here in Germany, because nobody wants them. Hunters need bigger calibers for self defense and sport shooters usually buy a 9mm Luger gun and a .357 Magnum revolver or a .22 pistol. You have to be careful with your two slots on your license. Of course, you can get more but you have to have reasons, for example competition but most buy something different than those pocket pistols. That's why they are like 200€ more or less. Kinda sad that they are gone now but we import many classic muscle cars so I guess that makes it even :D
@@ahall1459 Yeah, the politicians always try to make it harder, the last time they regulated magazines for centerfire guns. Nowyou can't buy handgun magazines over 20 rounds and rifle magazines over 10 rounds. If you want to own a gun you have to be a certified collector, hunter or sports shooter. A sports shooter joins a club, shoots once every month for a year and has to have a book where he notes every training. After a year he has to take a theoretical test about laws and safety and buy a certified gun safe. Then you write your head shooting association, show your training book and say that you need a gun for a discipline, for example pistol 9mm Luger 25m bullseye. They check that and certify that you need that gun. With this certificate, your theoretical test, recipe of the gun safe and your training book you write your local authorities, they run you through every three letter agency, run background checks and then give your gun license(s) with the allowance for a handgun 9mm Luger pistol. Now go to a shop, buy a 9mm Luger pistol and let the authorities put a stamp on your license. For hand guns, semiauto rifles, semiauto shotguns and repeating shotguns you need a green license and have to go through the before mentioned process for every new gun. Everything else can be bought with the yellow license for sports shooters. With this you just go into a store and buy whatever you want (single shot rifles, bolt action rifles, break action shotguns, single shot handguns, cap and ball revolvers) and let your authorities put a stamp on it. In 2017 they put a limit on the yellow license, now you can only buy max 10 guns with it. With the green license you get a basic right to buy 2 handguns and 3 rifles. Everything over that has to be reasened for, for example with competing in championships. Yesterday I was at a competition and a guy next to me had 7 handguns, so that is also possible. You have to train regularly because your authorities will check your book and if you don't train and have a good reason for it, they make you sell your guns. Hunters just take a hunting course (three times a week for about a year) and can buy as many rifles as the want but they dont get more the 2/3 handguns. Collectors have a topic of guns they collect and can buy everything in that topic. A friend of mines topic is German military weapons from 1871 to 1945 as well as captured weapons. He's got a very nice collection, even a STG44 although restricted to semiauto. Another thing: You are checked regular for crimes by your authorities. Drunk driving and crimes like assault or kiddy touching are immediate reasons that you loose your "right" to keep your guns.

The problem with imports is that they have to be "import marked". Kills half the value of the collectability of them. Literally for NO REASON other than "it's the 1968 law". It sucks.

"We need more of you who are competent to do this." I disagree. We need less bureaucracy. Especially when it comes to firearms and firearms importation. "Shall not be infringed" doesn't mean "Shall not be infringed EXCEPT for importing the pistols which don't reach the points requirement as set by the Gun Control Act of 1968".
That Walther Model 6 wasn't a full-auto pistol, it was a WW1 expedient semi-auto pistol made in 9mm Luger (Parabellum) when the German Army badly needed pistols and they couldn't make enough Lugers. A simple blow-back design it was less than perfect and was dropped from the Walther line post-war.
@@Foche_T._Schitt I think both you and I know there's no such thing as a "fully semi-automatic pistol." It's either got a full-auto selector switch or it doesn't and the Walther Model 6 didn't, in 9mm Luger it would have been uncontrollable if it did. It's a semi-auto like a Luger or a P-38. I edited my original comment after doing a little more research just to clarify things. I suspect Customs is sitting on the thing because they don't know what it is, those pistols are a relatively scarce item.

I love these sales pitches! I shouldn't watch them as I like the toys but the prices keep me out, that and the problem of getting items shipped here.
How often do guns go permanently missing during transit?
Very nice, those PP's 👌
Oh damn… this will be fun to try out.
The two letters are YA and FA in arabic on the PP.
Tom, how did the prices you paid in Germany compare to prices in the US?
Prices were lower but by the time I paid all of the fee and import taxes it didnt turn out as well as I would have liked. A few I actually will lose money on.
For things like the PPK could you have the barrels swapped for longer dummy barrels or something like that and then send the original barrels along with them? I know it’d be a faff but I don’t know if that’s something possible if there’s a pistol you really want or something?
I’ll take the G Date Navy!
Must be nice to not even remember what you bought and I’m glad you have all these beautiful guns so I can look at them at least but having budget to buy three large boxes of guns is impressive 😂
Love your channel. You have a lot more faith in our gov't than I do.
Are there any import markings on them?
They rejected the guns probably in an attempt to get them into their personal collections.
Oven mitts!
12:00 Türkiye adopted Latin script in 1929 the same year Walther invented the PP, prior to this date the Ottoman Empire used Arabic script, Farsi is the language of Persia (Iran) so if this gun is WWII ( Türkiye was neutral ) it won’t be Turkish
What's Türkiye? Did you mean Turkey?
@@ArnoSchmidt70 The correct name for the country is Türkiye
Turkey is what Americans have for thanksgiving
Don't lose those rubber Python grips. I have not seen them for sale recently.
How does importing them work? are you the importer or you go through someone?
I am the importer but we also need a German exporter.
Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪
The problem with imports is that they have to be "import marked". Kills half the value of the collectability of them. Literally for NO REASON other than "it's the 1968 law". It sucks.
That really depends on the purchasers point of view. Many may turn up their noses at import marks but there's a hell of a lot more in this day and age who won't.
I have a 1977 Walther PPK/S 9MM K with the Bavarian State Police ( Bayerischer Landes Polizei) BYP, property stamp marking next to the serial number. There is only one.
What’s the deaths head marking mean?
Unless I'm wrong that means it was SS issue.
Seems to be a ww1 pistol from 1918 ( 1918 Stamp ) ,the "Deathead" symbol was also used by the " Braunschweigisches Husaren Regiment Nr. 17 (17th Braunschweig "Death's Head" Hussar Cavalry Regiment ) " , Sturmtruppen , Flamethrower-troops & Panzer-troops during ww 1 ( prior the Freikorps after ww1 & Waffen SS & Panzer Division during ww2 ) . During ww1 Ace pilot Leutnant Georg von Hantelmann (9 October 1898 - 7 September 1924) credited with winning 25 victories during World War I was also a former member of the 17th Braunschweig "Death Head" Hussar Regiment & used the "Deaths Head" symbol on his Aircraft .
Anton Ludwig Friedrich August von Mackensen (born Mackensen; 6 December 1849 - 8 November 1945), ennobled as "von Mackensen" . Mackensen impressed Kaiser Wilhelm II, who ordered that Mackensen be given command from 17 June 1893 of the 1st Life Hussars Regiment (Leib-Husaren-Regiment Nr. 1) he often wore the distinctive death's head uniform thereafter. During World War I (1914-1918) he became one of the German Empire's most prominent and competent military leaders .
Are these import marked?
A shame that you can not import the ppk or any shorter barrelled pistols. So much heritage lost because of it.
Love the videos!
French, what is the brand? It’s awfully similar with SIG P210. Or maybe P
Polish vis 9 mm
is the python in time? and when was it made?
where do you buy them from in germany ?
I don’t remember 😂. Sure
I thought I saw a SACM 1935A in the group but I guess I was wrong.
O OstSee try Baltic sea❤
I like that Python best 😄
Take a look when Turkey stopped using the Arabic script and moved over to using the Latin script.
It was 1928.
Time folks to get your high boots on. Getting deep from the start.
Is it me or does that Navy stock look like an oar compared to the others?
WELLDONE ALL/
By "East Sea" you presumably mean the Baltic Sea
Great content
Good Lord, where were they hiding this stuff!!!??
How do you become a VIP?
Any golden eagle lugers or artillery long barrel
Very nice
How to have contact with you
"We need more of you who are competent to do this."
I disagree. We need less bureaucracy. Especially when it comes to firearms and firearms importation. "Shall not be infringed" doesn't mean "Shall not be infringed EXCEPT for importing the pistols which don't reach the points requirement as set by the Gun Control Act of 1968".
Can I buy one of those Lugers?
Yardsale
The ATF can't have you importing Fully Semi Automatic pistols, sir.
@@wayneantoniazzi2706
"Fully *Semi* Automatic"
@@Foche_T._Schitt I think both you and I know there's no such thing as a "fully semi-automatic pistol." It's either got a full-auto selector switch or it doesn't and the Walther Model 6 didn't, in 9mm Luger it would have been uncontrollable if it did. It's a semi-auto like a Luger or a P-38.
I edited my original comment after doing a little more research just to clarify things.
I suspect Customs is sitting on the thing because they don't know what it is, those pistols are a relatively scarce item.

(((Woosh)))
It's a joke. Some reporter trying to demonize guns used that line.
What is name of one in thumbnail?
Looks like a p210
The faster you move the guns ,the better I can see them......!
I think the one you are calling turkish is actually Egyptian
The described German pistols. How were they purchaced? Were they illegal at a time og are they all legallly sold to you. Punishment for illegal guns in Denmark is at least two years in the link.
Try concrete work!
Zig210 best gun in the World
Aaaaa🤩 WW1 Beauties 😭
nothing to say abouth the python?? nice selection

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED MEANS THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REFUSE YOU IMPORTATION OF ARMS..
Those rejected firearms my have sat next to a empty box that once help a pistol brace or bumpstock and a time dilation affected the ATF agents ptsd …I’m sure it will be fine once the Bud-lite leaves the officers system….
I hate watching your channel....
for a good reason.
Every time I watch your channel I want to spend $100,000.00 dollars!!!!😄😄
It was better when you were behind the box!!lol. You guys need a beautiful woman to do your videos lol.... Much better than Tom😅
Eh. Tom reminds me of the cool neighbor with fancy stuff. Simpler times.
Cherry pick for "VIP's?"
How much does one need to spend to gain that distinction? I have spent over $20K acquiring items for my collection from you over the past several years (10+ separate orders). I have never received a notification from you with regards to any new "cherry picked" items. I don't do "patreon" I figure my loyalty and purchase history with you ought to be enough.
Kind of lame if you ask me...
Maybe call or email and ask instead of leaving a comment
