- The LEGO Marvel 2024 Sandman vs. Spiderman: Final Battle is LEGO DLC for the 2023 Spiderman Final Battle (Statue of Liberty) set! For $38 though it isn't coming cheap and might not be worth buying if you don't own the 76261 Spiderman Final Battle set... unless you really want a LEGO Lizard Minifigure.

The yellow beam and the walkway have attachment points on the full final battle model. They’re not as obvious, but they’re featured in that final shot in the instructions to combine them.
Oh good cuse I might buy it now I was kind of dumb founded that you can really only attach sandman himself
Do the instructions say how/where to attach them or are we supposed to figure it out ourselves?

@@MandRproductionsthe yellow beam attaches to the rounded 2 x 2 on the back right side of the head and the scaffolding attaches into another scaffolding piece on the right side of the head.
The least they could do is give the lizard the taller minifiguire legs. Instead of Electro, they should have included a sandman minifigure
They should give lizard the custom demogorgon legs they did for stranger things set

The fact that they could have just omitted MJ, Ned, and possibly Dr. Strange from the original set and included that Sandman build and the Lizard figure instead is honestly the biggest disappointment, in my opinion.
Cause nobody will pay 150 for it
Just realized that the baddies included in this set are the same from that epic shot of the trailer where the 2 other Spidermen were removed.
But, why doesn't the sandman set include a sandman figure? He's normal size for most of the movie, they could have omited the electro reuse and putted a normal size sandman minifig to recreate other scenes, but now we won't have any no way home sandman minifig
The best compromise is to use the full Sandman figure from 2018-2019

I love how the people whining about this set being a thing dont take into consideration that A LOT of us cant afford a god damn 150 dollar set like the first set. This is a nice option to have and for 38 dollars its worth it.
Thank you for being the first early reviewer I’ve seen to not split the review in half and put the section where you combine the two in a different video.
On the images on the website there is a different version of the two sets combined with the scaffolding and portal from the sandman set combined with the full thing.
This set was sort of a let down. The lizard is the big draw and the sandman is ok I guess? But this should have been part of the original set. 6/10
The lizard is so mid. No new leg piece or mold for the head, wtf.
@@BroughtCat There's not really a need for a new head mold since the TASM version of the lizard has a human shaped head. We should've gotten new legs tho.

I think its because if people cannot afford the final battle set then they can buy this set
I think the only real issue is lizards size. I think they should have just used the avatar arms and legs for him. Other than that I love the look of this set and I’ll definitely be buying it. 9/10
sandman can also be placed on one of the marvel big building sets like the sanctum sanctorum next to the daily bugle for a nice battle set up with other spiderman figures
The way to fix his (sandman’s) turnability in the liberty head is adding a few 2x2 bricks to the bottom, it might make him less stable but if he’s on display he should look fine

I seen another reviewer add (2) 2x2 bricks under sandman and it allows him to be straight on with the statue of liberty vs only being sideways...
I see this set as a necessary add on and will totally be getting one to go with the Statue of Liberty set which I already own

38 bucks not 40, what happened to nice round numbers?
Well 2 years ago it would have been $30, then inflation + greed (but not wanting to look TOO obviously greed makes it $38 so you think it's a $2 discount from $40...)
The bottom attachment could be wrong. On the official images, it was supposed to detach at the ball joint below, not the entire assembly below the abs. Not sure if it's a design flaw leading to the ball joint not giving in and pulling the entire assembly up at the 2x2 round tan plate, or the marketing department made a mistake in the images.
I got this set early in a Walmart about a week ago. They had a few sets out early including the new rocket and another marvel set

im getting the original set for Christmas this year for this one. kinda wish they finished off sandman i guess? and by that i mean give him legs because im pretty sure thats how he appeard in the movies. well atleast for spiderman 3.

The weird thing is that some of Lego’s product shots of the combined sets show the scaffolding of the sandman set added to the statue head.
But that’s not in the instructions for some reason ?

It’s like the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, more money for a good thing that probably should have been included in the original thing, but I’m still gonna get it because I have the luxury of not spending my own money.
It’s a cool set, just a shame that’s he’s not very posable while combined with the final battle set.

Walmart had many of the '24 sets out yesterday, today, aisle is cleaned up and every '24 set is gone, fortunately I have a trunk full already
Should of got J J as a bonus figure and some switch out hands for Sandman. A hammer hand or other weapon hand would be cool.
Ultimately I’ll be having all the villains fight around my Sanctum Santorum.

It's 1a.m. in my timezone and I am watching a Lego set review. 😅
Anyway, my opinion: if this was the part of the previous set: 10/10, no brainer.
But now it is still good, but could be better. The Lizard could be a special mould, maybe something Hagrid-like, because a big fig would be too big. Sandman, the build is ok, but why no minifig instead of Electro? But overall 8,5/10, would be 9/10 if the Lizard was bigger, 9,5/10 if Sandman was added also as a minifig and 10/10 if the price was a bit lower
This gives me jaba's palace/ rancor pit vibes
AT-OT with drop ship was a Star Wars version of this but instead of two separate purchases it was one old Lego was better than new Lego in many ways
Do you know when you did the statue of liberty review it had you had pointed out Sandman’s hand in there and I was wondering why that is I mean I know in the movie he’s inside the statue coming up from the bottom, but now we know why that space was taken

I think they should’ve just added the sandman and lizard in the Statue of Liberty set and charged 130 for it
So, I really wish they would’ve just sold them together for like $120. The math sorta makes sense since you aren’t getting the duplicate spidey and electro (although Lego would probably still sell just sandman and lizard for $20). I think since they did decide to make a second set, they should’ve included sandman and doc ock. $38 is so much money for two duplicates, a new minifig, and an add-on build. Finally, I wish they would’ve added a stickered (or better yet printed) piece of the sanctorum to go behind the portal. if these ever go on sale I’ll get them bc NWH is one of my favorite movies but I just can’t blow $150 for what should’ve been one set to begin with
The sandman set looks like an afterthought from Lego. Lizard would be the only reason for me to get this. Just a bit annoyed it came out later
When I first clicked open the video I said “oh cool!”
Than watched it and said “ohhhh cooool?”
My son and I collected the marvel mechs and the larger things that look like this (hulk buster and molten man).
Kinda made the same.
So think this would look cool next to those.

I got the Sandman set over the statue of liberty, to me I wanted a cheaper Spider-Man set that wasn't based on a dumb vehicle that he doesn't ride (most Spider-Man sets fall into that trap unfortunately)
They should have done it as a Spider-man 2 collab

This really should’ve had better minifig selection. Lizard and Sandman are great, but I have an easy way to fix the minifigure lineup and sorta justify the price tag.
Replace Integrated Suit Spidey with a new figure of the Final Swing Suit.
Replace Electro with Sonyverse Venom (he technically showed up and it would sell like hot cakes if he was added).
Who cares if neither of these figured were in this specific scene? They're all we need to finish the NWH lineup.
This set would have been great for me when the Statue of Liberty came out now I just don’t really see the point

People complained a lot about this Lizard minifigure, but it should be a celebration, remember that this is the first Lizard figure EVER MADE by LEGO.

Take the portal out, replace the lizard and electro with venom, replace Tom's Spiderman with Tobey and boom you've got the Spider-Man 3 final battle 😂
I bought the Venom Mech set that came out this year, will definitely be adding Venom and Miles Morales to the final battle scene.
