It’s just gonna be high performing all the time from what I was told. I don’t usually turn it on cause I didn’t notice a difference in terms of day to day usage, but battery life COULD get worse if kept on.

I have a OnePlus 10 Pro and a Samsung s22 Plus. The Samsung has issues with call quality.Nobody ever talks about the basic reason to have a phone which is to call people. How is the call quality on the OnePlus 12 especially when you make a call out of your local area?
Wanted to buy the S24ultra...but didn't as it suffers the...grainy display issue...or...mura effect...in the low brightness in dark mode that has not been fixed with the latest software updates even. Customers are crying for this in different social media platforms for the replacement but the replacement units have the same problem and Samsung is not doing to solve this issue. Even fonearena and Tom's guide acknowledged this in their latest reviews. My priority is the display...not the camera for which l ordered the OP12. This time OP didn't buy the display from Samsung for the green line issue insted got it from BOE and BOE made 2 years in reserch making this display. How is the display...please give your honest opinion...Love from lndia.
Mine got overheated and then the screen went dark and unresponsive after I've copied everything from my previous OP8 and the phone started to install all the apps by itself. Then when cooled down it came back and works fine. Now I don't know if It's worth to keep the phone or should ask a new one.
7 hours on screen time? I'm surprised, I have a couple of apps that run continuously in the background for my medical stuff and I watch netflix, tiktok and youtube and I still only charge it every other day.

No, the camera's not good during video calls. Recently purchased a One Plus 12, During Video calls,in apps like Whatsapp, duo or meet the video call quality is poor, unclear, the image appears overly sharpened, asserting pimples and blackheads on the face, making it darker at the receiver's end
I always laugh when I hear people say that OnePlus is back. In fact, they were never gone. People just didn't want to pay the higher price for the 9 and 10 series. Hypothetically, if there was any resurgence to the brand it happened last year with the 11, pad and open. All three devices were well-received and came at a price that people were willing to pay. I'd also like to state that the OnePlus 12 is not a flagship killer. Frankly, it is a full-on flagship with all the trimmings. Furthermore, I wish people would stop using the term "flagship killer". Today, it is nothing more than a dated term and it means absolutely nothing. Again hypothetically, if there was an argument to be made for a flagship killer it would definitely be more about the OnePlus 12R. It's a device with last year's flagship specifications but, it's mixed with some mid-range features. Thus, something that could be viewed as a flagship killer. As far as the price of the OnePlus 12 is concerned, every device has gone up in price. In fact, it has absolutely nothing to do with the technology market. Here in the United states, we've been dealing with a horrible economy and massive inflation for the last 3 years. That's why groceries cost over 30% more than they did just a few years ago. Higher prices on everything including smartphones have gone up. I'm a little stunned to hear you say you're only getting about 7 hours of screen on time. My average screen on times are somewhere around 10 hours. Moreover, that's on a heavy day of use. It sounds as if there's either something wrong with your device or there are a few holes in your testing methodology. Once more, you are supposed to turn on high performance mode when conducting benchmark test on a OnePlus device. That's how their devices work. In fact, I don't believe there's any bug to be had.
Not reading all that, but I think people realized that there are better devices for the money so OnePlus was kinda put off to the side and even OnePlus realized that and so here we are with the OnePlus 12.
@@HeyMarkL understood, more than one paragraph is probably beyond you. Lol. Anyway, the 9 and 10 series were not well received because of their price. I agree there were better devices available during those years. However, last year's 11 was a solid device.

I've had my 1+12 for about 1 month now. I've turned everything Dark mode, all apps auto optimise, 5G on, standard performance mode, auto brightness From what i can gather, 1hr screen time = 10% battery life. RUclips 720p/web browsing (Dark mode/inverted whenever possible). No gaming. 1% battery life for each 1hr of standby. So heavy uses is 1 day/light use is 2 days. I honestly cannot see how anyone can get 12hr screen time. The unit i got must have been extra shitty 😢
There seems to be some misinformation in your otherwise great video. The main sensor is no where near being a 1" type sensor. It is a 1.43" sensor, and actually smaller than on the way cheaper Xiaomi 13T Pro
1:03 No it isn't champ in tetmsyof performance, everything is great here except gaming after recent OOS 14 updates, both OnePlus 11 and 12 throttle in games at just 37°c battery temps and even their own cooler cannot prevent their device from throttling in games

Overall, yes. It has a different 'look' to it though. But processing is still better on Pixel imo.

Would love to try the OP11 or the OP12/12R. Currently using a Pixel 6 pro, but I can’t seem to get off for the features google offers like visual voicemail and screen my call. I get a ton of spam calls. Awesome video though. Would love to see you thoughts on the 12r as well. Thanks!
Yeah those pixel perks and features are pretty awesome but the 12 is such a good phone that it might be worth missing out on the call screening and visual voicemail feature for the other upsides the 12 will give you
@@HeyMarkL thanks for responding!!! Do you think the 12r will be worth it as well? Or too big of a cliff in terms of camera quality coming from pixel?

It's called leafage veil and can be found in the app Backdrops.
Does the high-performance mode negatively affect the battery life when the phone isn't under load? Or is is just free performance unlock for high-demand tasks?
It’s just gonna be high performing all the time from what I was told. I don’t usually turn it on cause I didn’t notice a difference in terms of day to day usage, but battery life COULD get worse if kept on.
Can you do a comparison with xiaomi 14 mark?

At the first 2 days the phone is normalising so it heats up

@@oliver_liew if camera is priority portraits + long distance zoom then go with Vivo X100 pro or Xiaomi. If you want to save some money and get 90% of the camera go with OnePlus
@@oliver_liewAside from it's some weird quirks with the colors (like adjusting reds to orange) Vivo X100 Pro is an undisputed camera king and it's not even close. Especially the 2x in camera crop is unbelievably good, it gives results similar or better to some dedicated 2x telephotos.
@@oliver_liew its a tough one, but probably the Xiaomi 14 ultra, I don't like the vivo's over processed pictures. Also, if you do some intensive tasks, it heats up a lot. If you want value for money, then oneplus 12
Are the cameras finally as good as the Pixel 8 Pro with this update? I am tempted to switch from Pixel 8 Pro to the 12
I’d say it looks different than a Pixel. I really like what they did with the cameras on here but if you want something natural or less artsy looking the Pixel 8 Pro is still a killer camera. OP12 is more fun to shoot with though.
No, the camera's not good during video calls. Recently purchased a One Plus 12,
During Video calls,in apps like Whatsapp, duo or meet the video call quality is poor, unclear, the image appears overly sharpened, asserting pimples and blackheads on the face, making it darker at the receiver's end
The OnePlus 12 is excellent. But it's cameras can't match the pixel overall. I'm not sure it's a deal breaker but it's worth keeping in mind.
What was that icon pack though... Looks lit

@@dr.fitprofessor1970 yeah, 10 series was just not good, I has a 10r and it was the most dogshyt phone. Oneplus's 9 and 10 series phones also heated a lot and had battery issues. Also, i only got max 7-8 hours sot cuz I game a lot, and photo shooting also drains a lot of battery so maybe thats why he was getting only 7 hours. The only thing I hate about the 12 is the speakers, everything else, the battery, the performance, the camera etc. are great.
@@4fgaming925 I wouldn't know about the 10r. That phone wasn't available in North America where I live. Although, the problem with the 9 and 10 series had nothing to do with the devices. The 9 series utilized the Snapdragon 888 while the 10 Pro offered the Snapdragon 8 generation 1. Qualcomm had problems optimizing both of those chipsets. In fact, other manufacturers that utilize those processors for the devices experience the same issues. Don't even get me started on the 10T. It had an amazing processor with the Snapdragon 8+ generation 1 that came later in the year. However, they deleted the alert slider because they needed to make room for the advanced 125 Watt charging. In addition, they gave it a plastic frame for some reason. In other words, not a good idea. It just wasn't a good couple of years for oneplus.
As far as the speakers are concerned on the 12, mine sound amazing. In addition, they also sound pretty good on everyone that I've known that has purchased this device. Perhaps, your model has issues. If I were you, I'd find somebody with the same phone and do a comparison. If that's the problem, your device may need warranty support.

I've had my 1+12 for about 1 month now.
I've turned everything Dark mode, all apps auto optimise, 5G on, standard performance mode, auto brightness
From what i can gather, 1hr screen time = 10% battery life.
