I served under TONJE when a lot of positive change took place when he became CGS now CDF. We went through hell during previous commands ranging from poor pay, deplorable working conditions and many other negative things borrowed from the Colonial regime. Long life and nice health to you sir.

You are a great commander , we have ever had in KDF , every one remembers you for love U had for all the soldiers regardless of rank
You introduced basic food and house allowance, this was a big boost to soldiers morale
You also introduced many things in KDF services education etc

Maybe l just don't know but has he written his autobiography. I would like to read the bit about his relationship with Mohammed in his memoirs. He remains a remarkable person even in retirement. May he live long.

The autobiography is work in progress. In the second clip he mentions about his relationship with Mulinge and Mohammed

Wewe jinga Sana...kama hakuna vita and the office has to be occupied incase of incapacitation or retirement, office itakaa hivyo ya general sababu hakuna vita !! Be real and think properly. All other countries with no wars still generals exist ! And who told you ranks so high like a general goes to war ! It's all about management and leadership in decision making and so on !!
