I think in the original story of Mulan the king wasn't quite as good of a king. He decided he wanted to take Mulan as a concubine, and given that he's the king, she couldn't exactly refuse. The lack of consent made her incredibly depressed and I think she killed herself in the end

In the original book, Little Mermaid had to kill the prince to return to being a mermaid or else she would turn into sea foam. Her sisters gave up their hair to get a special knife for her with which if she killed the prince, she could become a mermaid again but she loved him so much that she couldn't so she kissed him on the forehead and as soon as dusk broke she jumped into the ocean and turned into sea foam.

I used to watch his movie with my grandma all the time. Thumbelina was one of my favorite parts. As was the ugly duckling. I still sing the songs. ❤ i felt so bad for him. He was such a sweet soul with such amazing stories.
The Mulan one is very inappropriate because she would have NEVER become one. She would have still lived trying to be the ideal daughter they wanted her to be. If the story went wrong, the worst that could happen was that she died in the war or with Shan Yu on the rooftop. But either way, to become an empress, she had to marry the old king since he had no sons, which seems a 911 thing to me lol.

Literally most original versions of fairytales be like that or worse 😅😂😂 Ariel in the original feels like her feet are stabbed by knives during her whole stint as a human and the prince marries someone else. Snow White nearly gets killed 3 times and then woken up by a possible necrophiliac abducting her casket. She only wakes up because a servant trips while carrying said casket which makes her fall out and dislodge the poison apple. Belle in one version nearly kills the Beast by leaving, which is planned by her family who try to make Beast eat her. Aurora wakes up because her child (she doesn’t know she had, go figure how that happened) sucks out the thorn in her finger. Maleficent is also the wife of the king that impregnated her while she was unconscious. She nearly get burned to death by said wife. Rapunzel gets cast out of the tower for getting pregnant and the prince jumps off the tower when Gothel tricks him which makes him permanently blind as he lands in thorn bush. I think they do find each other after years and she magically restores his eyes but still…

I’ve never felt this ending being so realistic and childish. Ariel most likely made a deal to sell her vocal chords for human feet to walk on landlocked areas. Only to be out of time, if she does not find her Prince and kiss him. In the original story, the ending was quite depressing and unexpected. Ariel realizes it was too late for her to make sure her Prince falls in love with her. After she failed her mission, She gets turned into soap and misty air then deceases. So yeah she basically is dead. That was straightforward to the actual ending of the story. I use to watch Jon Solo Explained, he is a storyteller RUclipsr who makes content on the original story of the Disney Fairytale movies and a lot of them have messed up and a darker twist to them. Disney just made it PG-friendly for children under 9 to consume their movies and more approvable for the parents.

I love Mulan even though i haven't even watched the movie, it's because she's a girl that wants to be a knight as a boy- that is pretty much all i know about her 😅 But for Ariel's alternative ending, (it's long but read it pls) When her dad and the others found out that she went to/wanted to come to the surface, her dad locks her underground until the pRiNcE came to save her but he suffocates and loses breath and ☠️ RIGHT infront of her eyes. After she cries, and cries, and cries until her tail also 'discintegrates?' within his leftovers. She then emerges out of the ground clawing the sand, CRAWLING on sand, after the sea and without a mind, she ☠️ her fellow mermaid merman friends and family, including.. her own father. Buuuutt the guy that wanted to save her wasn't exactly him, it was a clone made by that purple 🐙 So the real guy was slayed by Ariel herself mindlessly. When she woke up, she was in human form, then she found the ❤ of her life d34d beside her. She then remembers what happened and she cries (and idk what else to put here :D)

Mulan can never claim the position of empress consort. Knowing the emperor's age, he already secured an alliance with the empress consort's family early on. Even if he were to be around Mulan's age, it wouldn't be possible because Hua family isn't of much importance as to be something that the emperor needs advantage out of. Mulan would at most be an imperial concubine (I think or smth else, some rank lower if there ever is one) but even then, it is required for Mulan to be of noble family I think. Mulan can possibly suffer depression from it and sure could be upset, but can't do anything about it as denying an imperial order can cost her life and bring shame to her family. Her family can even be blacklisted if the emperor desired. Mulan, at the palace, will be tormented by the imperial harem and possibly have to force herself to participate in it for her own survival. She is either abandoned and ignored or she will either die caused by the fight in the imperial harem, either she gets framed or her crimws get exposed which costs death penalty. Even if she does survive, her heart may already corrupted by greed, will be driven insane amd may even mistreat her own future child, even possibly trying to kill other concubines' and wives' children

I'm confident I can think of better Dark endings, so if you want to go by the movies, here: Ariel: Prince Eric never fell in love with her, and she became Ursula's slave, forever trapped in the body of one of those little Leech looking things, or possibly Ursula kills her with the trident so that she can't interfere with plans. Snow White: You could go the zombie route, or have her under the Apple's curse in the glass coffin until her body decays. Mulan: Died in battle, possibly blown up from the fireworks at the end of the movie, or buried under snow in the avalanche she caused Belle: Either killed by the wolves, yandere Gaston, or she doesn't fall in love with the prince and he becomes a real beast after the rose wilts, and kills her
3 of them already have bad endings originally. Little Mermaid becomes a seafome after the prince rejects her. After winning the war, instead of being honoursed Mulan becomes the concubine of the emperor and kills herself. Belle is drowned by her jealous sisters. Snow White does have a happy ending but the probable bad ending would be that instead of placing her in a glass coffin, the Dwarves could bury her alive thinking that she’s dead so the Prince never finds her.
There's a book called, Mermaid Tales From Around The World, by Mary Pope Osborne.. One of the stories in it is the sequel to the Little Mermaid book. Her sisters make a deal with the sea witch to bring her back to life. Deal is she has to lure the Prince who snubbed her in the first story (essentially Prince Eric) into the sea and drowned him... She seduces him onto a rock in a cave and holds him in place until the tide comes in. He dead!

The Mulan one is very inappropriate because she would have NEVER become one. She would have still lived trying to be the ideal daughter they wanted her to be. If the story went wrong, the worst that could happen was that she died in the war or with Shan Yu on the rooftop. But either way, to become an empress, she had to marry the old king since he had no sons, which seems a 911 thing to me lol.

Mulan's original chinese story was actually more tragic. She fought the war and never got the prince because he had to marry the hun princess for diplomatic peace. So she went back home and lived the rest of her life completely lonely.

Snow White nearly gets killed 3 times and then woken up by a possible necrophiliac abducting her casket. She only wakes up because a servant trips while carrying said casket which makes her fall out and dislodge the poison apple.
Belle in one version nearly kills the Beast by leaving, which is planned by her family who try to make Beast eat her.
Aurora wakes up because her child (she doesn’t know she had, go figure how that happened) sucks out the thorn in her finger. Maleficent is also the wife of the king that impregnated her while she was unconscious. She nearly get burned to death by said wife.
Rapunzel gets cast out of the tower for getting pregnant and the prince jumps off the tower when Gothel tricks him which makes him permanently blind as he lands in thorn bush. I think they do find each other after years and she magically restores his eyes but still…

I’ve never felt this ending being so realistic and childish.
Ariel most likely made a deal to sell her vocal chords for human feet to walk on landlocked areas. Only to be out of time, if she does not find her Prince and kiss him.
In the original story, the ending was quite depressing and unexpected. Ariel realizes it was too late for her to make sure her Prince falls in love with her. After she failed her mission, She gets turned into soap and misty air then deceases. So yeah she basically is dead.
That was straightforward to the actual ending of the story.
I use to watch Jon Solo Explained, he is a storyteller RUclipsr who makes content on the original story of the Disney Fairytale movies and a lot of them have messed up and a darker twist to them. Disney just made it PG-friendly for children under 9 to consume their movies and more approvable for the parents.

When her dad and the others found out that she went to/wanted to come to the surface, her dad locks her underground until the pRiNcE came to save her but he suffocates and loses breath and ☠️ RIGHT infront of her eyes. After she cries, and cries, and cries until her tail also 'discintegrates?' within his leftovers. She then emerges out of the ground clawing the sand, CRAWLING on sand, after the sea and without a mind, she ☠️ her fellow mermaid merman friends and family, including.. her own father. But she does not ☠️ him like the others, she SL!C3S him and lets the pieces eaten by crabs and sharks. Buuuutt the guy that wanted to save her wasn't exactly him, it was a clone made by that purple 🐙 So the real guy was slayed by Ariel herself mindlessly. When she woke up, she was in human form, then she found the ❤ of her life d34d beside her. She then remembers what happened and she cries (and idk what else to put here :D)

Mulan can never claim the position of empress consort. Knowing the emperor's age, he already secured an alliance with the empress consort's family early on. Even if he were to be around Mulan's age, it wouldn't be possible because Hua family isn't of much importance as to be something that the emperor needs advantage out of. Mulan would at most be an imperial concubine (I think or smth else, some rank lower if there ever is one) but even then, it is required for Mulan to be of noble family I think. Mulan can possibly suffer depression from it and sure could be upset, but can't do anything about it as denying an imperial order can cost her life and bring shame to her family. Her family can even be blacklisted if the emperor desired. Mulan, at the palace, will be tormented by the imperial harem and possibly have to force herself to participate in it for her own survival. She is either abandoned and ignored or she will either die caused by the fight in the imperial harem, either she gets framed or her crimws get exposed which costs death penalty. Even if she does survive, her heart may already corrupted by greed, will be driven insane amd may even mistreat her own future child, even possibly trying to kill other concubines' and wives' children

I'm confident I can think of better Dark endings, so if you want to go by the movies, here:
Ariel: Prince Eric never fell in love with her, and she became Ursula's slave, forever trapped in the body of one of those little Leech looking things, or possibly Ursula kills her with the trident so that she can't interfere with plans.
Snow White: You could go the zombie route, or have her under the Apple's curse in the glass coffin until her body decays.
Mulan: Died in battle, possibly blown up from the fireworks at the end of the movie, or buried under snow in the avalanche she caused
Belle: Either killed by the wolves, yandere Gaston, or she doesn't fall in love with the prince and he becomes a real beast after the rose wilts, and kills her
3 of them already have bad endings originally.
Little Mermaid becomes a seafome after the prince rejects her.
After winning the war, instead of being honoursed Mulan becomes the concubine of the emperor and kills herself.
Belle is drowned by her jealous sisters.
Snow White does have a happy ending but the probable bad ending would be that instead of placing her in a glass coffin, the Dwarves could bury her alive thinking that she’s dead so the Prince never finds her.

There's a book called, Mermaid Tales From Around The World, by Mary Pope Osborne..
One of the stories in it is the sequel to the Little Mermaid book. Her sisters make a deal with the sea witch to bring her back to life. Deal is she has to lure the Prince who snubbed her in the first story (essentially Prince Eric) into the sea and drowned him...
She seduces him onto a rock in a cave and holds him in place until the tide comes in. He dead!
