- This is a Japanese house tour. Inside of this Traditional Japanese home you'll fine some unique rooms and appliances only common to Japanese houses. Although this Tokyo House is traditionally Japanese it is also a very modern home in Japan as it is newly built. This is what a typical Japanese family may build if they were looking to build their own modern house in Tokyo or even a modern house in Japan. I hope you liked this traditional Japanese home tour.
Not a sponsored video, but Hebel Haus were kind enough to let us inside to share their model house with you guys.

Grandma didn’t have to flex so hard on us like that
Galaxy KK fr 😂
Wtf😭😂😂😂😂
for real 😂 grandma is icy
Wtf 🤣
xD
Ive always loved japanese home. The simplicity, the antique, wooden homely feel. The true minimalism simple lifestyle.
If I build a custom home maybe try to get one similar style.
$4 million too much for simplicity
Kool Aid well, tokyo is expensive. My home in there would cost $1.205.200, when it actually costs around 290.000€
These homes arent built to last either. 30 years max. You're paying for the land it's on.
Bird as in every city isn’t it?
Do you have any videos that feature the lower-income Japanese homes? Just curious how the waitresses, the street cleaners, the janitors and so forth, live.
NO. Those people don't exist.
studio apartments, no house
I think those are called tents
Or they live in Internet cafes
@Skrooge Lantay its called being a fucking bitch and sarcasm.
the problem is that everyone wants grandma's room.
I'm a grandma and I would love to have that room.
Plus a tea room for entertaining, and a sunny nook...who wouldnt want this??
looks like i need to marry a grandma to share that grandma room. any rich grandma want to volunteer ?
I confirm u have a very sick family.
I love my grandma! Dude if we were Japanese and had this room this is more than likely where you’d find me. But growing up she did have a sitting room and that’s where I was, snuggled with her under the blanket. I miss those days, but the sitting room is gone and she has a huge kitchen! Now we have our time on the couch in the living room Lmao.
This is my dream house and I'll take the grandma room. 😊
Yeah, it's pretty cool.
Shell out $4 Mil and it's yours
@@SS-yv9cq 😆
@@SS-yv9cq You could get the house for much cheaper if you live farther from a major city lol. Doesn't have to be $4 million
@@PaolofromTOKYO hi
Grandma is living the dream, almost everything about this house is for grandma :)
They also practise Ubasute in Japan. You're welcome.
@@Laperdash dude wtf......
i mean grandma deserves it shes the reason the parents and even the children came to exist :)
She probably paid for or gave a deposit for the home. Thats the case in a lot of generational homes.
When japanese houses looks nicer and beautiful than a mansion...
and are even more expensive than a mansion...
@@latoucheF7 this house is probably 600,000+ usd.
@@latoucheF7 nvmind, it's in the description LOL
Dev Mahesvara cheaper than singapore
@@fridayschild722 hah lol. now I'm wondering which is more expensive.. singapore or california lol
This man is the most pure being on earth
Im gonna marry a japanese person so i can be a japanese grandma
Maybe in your next life you'll be born in Japan.
Welp you wont get to enjoy this with ur next life. Its better you push for success now and enjoy your life in japan.
I have the same plan in mind
In your dreams!
I’d rather adopt a Japanese grandma. It’s give me a reason to go to Japan some time :3
This house is perfect. It's so well designed.
Glad you enjoyed the video Brandon!
This guy: since japanese takes bath everyday...
rest of the world: surprised Pikachu face
Same with Indonesian 😊
Yeah... Unfortunately I can only take showers... Bath would cost me too much money 😅
@@gallyi34 Not only about the money...about the planet
Everyone please shower everyday or else you will stink
Same with us, Filipinos. It's really hot in our country.
Why does it look like he wants to whisper but just does not know How
he seems excited, especially about the heated floor and I can definitely see why 😂
I have always wanted to visit japan it is so pretty.
Thanks T -BOT!
Me too
@@PaolofromTOKYO Can you please make a uncut video showing full house. In that case we will be able to connect better
Tristan Its truly one of the best countries in the world.👌🏻
Dude! I busted out laughing when you were making Snow Angels "Its a hallway and its so warm and I love it!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I love the way your culture looks after its grandparents. We can learn from you here in Australia. The little floor plan in the corner really helped understand the house.
They also practise Ubasute in Japan. You're welcome.
@@Laperdash lmao 😂horrible isn't it
Love your presentation..a real funster.....showing this way of living Japanese style gives great ideas for those who aren't from Japan... Thanks.⭐
I am in Japan now, going back home to UK soon. This has been the most incredible holiday ever!! I love this home tour too. A lovely mix of tradition and modern
Absolutely love your energy, man. Thank you for sharing your good vibes AND showing really interesting cultural things to us viewers! ✨
Omgosh this is so amazing! Watching videos like this help me learn more about some of my heritage. Thanks for showing us. I love this architecture and I need it in my life✨✌🏻. Much love to Japan!
So. Pretty. I absolutely love the traditional look. The clean lines, love.
That tub, awesome!!
So I've always been obsessed with tiny tokyo apartments. I love the idea of living in small studios downtown, and really have never had much interest in buying a house. A condo, maybe, but that's it.
But this? This house? It's the first house I've ever fallen in love with. I'd give up my apartment for it in a heartbeat.
What about grandpa?
Is he buried in the backyard ?

All the way from Republic of Ireland filipino. Thanks a million Paolo. I learned so much lessons from you. God bless
One of the best videos of Japanese life and culture, love it
I love Japan. Everything is practical and simple.
"Grandma" areas look like luxury. And that bathroom with Grandma floors has better floors than I do!
The styles and colours in this home make it seem really cozy. love it.
Your videos get better by the minute!
Thank you, Paolo and Maiko!

I can’t tell if he’s actually excited or being sarcastic especially when he mentioned how long it takes to wash and dry your clothes 3 to 4 hours like.....
Jae Devrick that’s probably not true lol
washed AND dried within 3-4 hours? AMAZING!
@@banished4eva 😂😂
You people realise that almost all Japanese driers/washing machine have only economic settings available right ? In the EU you can choose.
It's longer because it uses less water, less electricity in the long run.
The 'fast' machines or settings that work in 1h30 peak at 3000w which is the same as a freaking two person sauna.
Ponder or find out about all options before you mock others because you think the way you live is the definition the only thing that exist/is right or some sort of universal reality.
He's sincere. Believe me. There is pure joy in convenient laundry
I'm really obsessed with Japanese houses and this one is my favorite.. I would love to stay here ...😁😁
I love the way Paolo explains things. So enthusiastic
I really love your enthusiasm , it's refreshing. 😊
Amazing modern house while still improving traditional way of living to their best potential ... that's the way to go
I love the design of the house. It would be nice to get a similar design in south Texas.
if it sights around mountain it will look great...the fresh air,the scenary that feels amazing.
This is my second time watching this video. Great reference for my efforts to incorporate Japanese home features into my home. Thanks Paolo!
Tell me why i find the washing machine so cute
What I love most about japanese homes is the bathroom and their soaking tubs 😍 okay, I love everything who am I kidding?
Hello from Scotland 👋 This is a lovely home with such great space. I love the separate fish grill! That's a winner! I love seeing diffrent styles of housing 😊Thanks for sharing.
I think Japanese homes are *amazing!* They are so cleverly designed absolutely everything has been thought of and everything is so well designed!
Never thought I'd want to be a grandma, and I've long since given up on the "Move to Japan" idea.
Now I want to go to Japan and be a grandma and live in this house.
Now you should try to find an real and old traditional style house and compare it to this. A nice one of course, not a run down rack :D
Your enthusiasm is refreshing and heart warming!
I went to japan through an exchange back in October last year and I’m just picturing the differences between both homes, although the home I was staying at was lovely, the home shown in this video is super nice and modern
Man, seeing this as a German, im almost envius. The Houses look so nice ( i now we have nice Houses in Germany too but this is something else)^^
Feeling like an old lady knowing that I want the Grandma space. hahaha!
Love your content! Always so much energy and enthusiasm. Love it!!
He's so happy and excited.
I love him.
Woop!!
We have those washing machine/dryer in one in the UK too now.
Here too NL
I have one too...they save so much time for someone like me. I love it.
do you have one too? I love mine...use it everyday.
That's cause American washing machines are shit compared to UK ones
I miss Japan. Their homes are so incredibly beautiful.
I like your sense of humor.. Great way to inspire and share ideas of lifestyle in Japan..
This is a real sweet home!!😍Love it!!😍
I'm not a grandma but I love that house. I'll buy it when I'm rich
I love japanies cultur 🤗🤗
I love this guy's sunny/friendly demeanor 😄
That's it, I'm moving to Japan! I love the architectural style of this building
You're so happy!
Wait for the electricity bill. Maybe that will change your mood AHAHAHAHA
heated floors reduce energy costs. when your feet are warm you are less likely to turn up the heat :-)
I would not mind living in one of these. It's so homely.
Great video. Loved your excitement for the heated hall floor🥳
I love that house! Especially the part for Grandma! It's so traditionally Japanese but very modern! I'm using some of those ideas in my tiny house and Airstream!
This is wonderful, and I AM the grandma.
Japan houses are pretty fun to design. I would love to design one.
Lovely house and a place for everybody and everything. I am envious. Thank you.
What beautiful home!!! I love absolutely everything about it!
me : *watches video*
*realizes that Japan is way ahead of our time*
MOM, CAN WE MOVE TO JAPAN?
Leaf pool the Bad Herb Keeper I think if you had 4 million USD, it’d go further here in US. But yeah, I love the aesthetic too, but keep in mind this house is 4 million USD! (Cost is in the description)
Then flying object comes to your face
"Grandma's living the life"😂😂😂😂
Hello, I really love your videos! They're very interesting and always keep my attention the whole way through. Love the way you explain and show things. Very informative and educational :] I love watching your videos a lot.
I love how much fun you had showing this house :D
I love Japan!! Planning to visit one day with a kimono and say itadakimasu while eating with Japanese people!! And I wanna go to a hot spring too 😍😍
Hope you get to visit one day soon.
Paolo fromTOKYO same💖💖 But it'll probably be in a couple of years bc I'm still 12 💔
No offense but your comment makes me wonder if your a weeaboo to avoid that you may want to type more casual and not as hype when it comes to going to Japan or just the Japanese culture
But TBH I want to go too
Hey Paolo,
Ballpark, how much would a house like this cost in Tokyo once you factor in building costs, land, and taxes?
Im curious as well
Check the description of the video. Worth it?
Maybe after the Olympics. Until then, my girlfriend and I are just going to crash at your place. :)
Paolo fromTOKYO yes. Worth it. If I had the money, yes I would buy it for sure.
Is that in us dollars or yen
What a gorgeous home! Absolitely loved the tour! Thank you xo
Love it. You always please our curiosity
I wanted to see the rest of the house! :(
My eyes are bigger than my wallet. Gotta have that washer dryer. And the sauna would be nice too.
Very classy, thanks for sharing.
Amazing !!! And respect and taking care of elderly... just amazing !!
Aside from the beautiful house, the teddies are too cute to look at
Is the camera man a tiny person or why is the presenter leaning so much and whispering?
there's no cameraman, I think. He has to keep his camera on any floor or table.
@@SATISHMANE 1:52
thats no cameraman... it's a camera-gf
He’s probably whispering cause he doesn’t want to talk so loud.
Why does he sound like Shaggy? 😂 subscribed!
It was so good listening to your style of presentation
Nice, simple and clean 🌻⚘. Hoarding unheard of in these type of houses.
Have ever been in a real Japanese house they don't look like this fake show house.
Anyone else read the prices in the description and thinking that the house is expensive? I like to point out that the house is a multi-million dollars...
david1760 technically the house is 500-600 thousand dollars. It's the land in and around Tokyo that is so ludicrously expensive.
@@mathardo That doesn't make it any better really the place is still really pricey and most people can't afford it...
...and Grandfather? He does not have own room? :D
anyway perfect video. That is my dream house ☺
How do you think the grandma is still alive? She sacrificed him to Kami so she could regain his years.
Grandpa did a kamikaze
Awesome home, thank you for sharing.
Awe I want a house like that it’s so creative and convenient especially heated floors I would never leave that house if I owned it
I wonder what the price tag for this house is considering it’s location. It’s beautiful, but I’d hate to see the electric bill with all those awesome (albeit optional) heated floors!
M B - you only use all those heating stuffs during winter. Besides, it’s alot cheaper to pay the electric bill than paying the doctor/hospitalization when you get sick in Japan.
It’s 4 million dollars
Love frm india💜💜💜
Hello from Tokyo!
India and Japan aren't friends, fuck India
Awesome video. Thanks for making.
One thing that you do well is your 10 things to do. You go in depth and do a great job. I haven't seen a lot of ueno videos. I went today and had a blast!! Must do a video on it.
Do Japanese style houses look odd outside Japan?
Would people think I'm a weeb if I built myself this traditional home?
Well who cares. Don't have enough money. *sigh*
Meeee
yes
I support you bro, I do not hit SKIP AD.... lol :)
Thanks GomezBro! Definitely much appreciated!!!!
I also hit the LIKE button. I will try and get to Tokyo this year again and eat some Ramen at your recommended spots! :)
That's awesome! Going by yourself or are you bringing the family as well?
Paolo fromTOKYO If the $$$$ comes with family. If not, alone. I have best friends in Tokyo. Yuki, Hiroshi, Kiyoto, Ai, Takuya, Ikuta.... Literally love these people. They take care of me every time. I stay in Uenohara or Musashi Koganei for free. Working hard man! ;)
Wow!! This is beautiful!!😍😍 I love how they automatically incorporate the grand mother's rooms into the design of the house. I know this has to be expensive!
Efficiency overloaded!!
The question is? What is the price of this home, and how many people can afford it?
Obviously Grandma can afford it
Obviously Grandma can afford it
3:05 when he said “ since Japanese takes bath every day” other country people be like 😒😒😒
Ps:- just a joke
I love this home.....a washer/dryer that does both is awesome. I also love the fish grill in the kitchen and a tub that fills with push of a button. It seems that's a pretty common thing.
Never seen a Japanese house before but this one in particular looks really amazing. I'd definitely love it if I lived in Japan
Hate to think what the electricity bill is with heated floors and a dryer. I cant afford either.
In new construction, it is best to have the hot water from the hot water tank circulate through the floors for heat. I bought a dryer off of craigslist for $50. On Facebook marketplace they can go for less.
I was calculating to see how much time would it take for me to pay the building cost + land for a house like that considering my current annual salary, and the answer is hilarious as it is depressing: 34 Freakin Years (If I don't even spend a cent of my money) :(
ThePainitami damn, hope you get a better paying job. Good luck
You still earn 6 figures though. Let's be real here, either the family is very well off or they've owned the land for a long when the land prices were cheap. Not for the average Joe
Grandma’s room is the best room in the house. It’s so cozy!!
This is a dream home - everything is well thought out , convenient and nothing is lacking - wish we had this style in America ❤️
