We talk to Stella Pixton about the news she is shorty to close her business Jurby Junk as she can no longer afford the rent of £30,000. She explains more about her situation as we look around this Manx institution.

O stella, nice lady. and her son. used to see stella on sundays when out for drives. remember her at the old first jurby junk hut in 1978. she was always very interesting to talk to and helpful . we used to talk about london.

I went to the original Jerby Junk in about 86 or so, as an Army Cadet staying over in Jerby. We purchased some old mechanical hair clippers and proceeded to try and trim other Cadets hair... It didn't go well at all hahahaha.... Ended up crawling on all fours around the parade square shouting 'clank clank I'm a tank' and 'beep beep I'm a jeep' for a couple of hours in howling rain and wind! 🤣
