I've been In love with the Porsche 935 k3 ever since I got a slot car of the Kremer Porsche 935 k3 and also seen a plaid wrapped 935 and full carbon 935 race at Mosport Raceway
This video needed to be an hour or more. It was a good video, but Bruce Myers is a very interesting guy and a great story teller. Especially when the subject that he's talking about has so much history.
Be careful what you wish for, we ended up shooting a two part, two hour interview with Bruce:

Very brief but fascinating account of the legendary 935 K3 Le Mans 79 winning car and its 'larger-than-life' characterful owners. Paul Newman was 2nd place in the same race, and in a 935!!! A marketing dream, phenomenal auto quality, Hollywood superstar and the whole endurance racing package couldn't get more sexier and prestigious than that!
Pulsonar You can see a bit more on this car - as well as the 2015 911 Turbo S (991) here: ruclips.net/video/5P1O-i1VimY/видео.html
I'd like to see more about this beautiful car.
I bet he could have talked for an hour. If he didn't you should have let him. Loved it!
bordelons1 He did . . . And it was GREAT. You can see more of Bruce talking about this car as well as our First Drive of the 2015 911 Turbo S here: 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S (991): FIRST DRIVE & The LeMans Winning Porsche Kremer 935
Good work!
Where is the nitrous bottle
Exactly. Hidden nitrous.
True. The nitrous boosted the 935 to over 1000hp. They brothers knew and helped them win.
Hidden in the rocker panel.
It was addressed on Adam Carolla's podcast.
They confirmed it with an exmechanic when they found something peculiar in that area.
@@dereks66 they didn't have the nitrous in the 79 le mans, they won it because it rained and they had a windshield wipers unlike every other car and they just had a lot of speed, the nitrous couldn't have been used during the race because as soon as it finished the car would die, it was only helpful in the Daytona 24hours qualifying where they used it on the banking and as soon as they crossed the line the car died because they engine just melted because it went from being 750hp to over 1000hp.
Excellent story... )
why are the exhaust not like the original?
CP? Doesn't he mean DP Motorsport?
Can someone answer me what seat belts this car could have used in '70s/80s - brand, color or number of points, what would be period correct?
Design Plastics
Porsche 911 Performance Handbook
Bruce Anderson · 1996 ·
"The attractive K3 bodywork was designed as a collaboration with Ekkehard Zimmerman of Design Plastics. All of the bodywork was done in Kevlar instead of fiberglass to increase strength and reduce weight."
Wow....
✌️🤠💥🌟🌀🎉
That's "DP" there Einstein! Not "CP"! It stands for Design Plastics ownd by Ekkehard Zimmerman!
The ptototypes were so bad that year, that Porsche 935 took 1-2-3 despite being "slower class".
It rained that year and the prototypes didn't have wipers........
