To avoid being infected and quarantined, she won't leave the closed-loop until all finish. Those volunteers are really great people.

There’s a reason why the US government officials want Olympic athletes not to bring their phones with them. No phone = no social media platform to show the truth; the opposite of the lies that the western media is telling.
I saw some vlog from the volunteer's POV. They are mostly students from top tier universities or graduate school. Their jobs are tendinous, like cleaning, long hour standing outside guiding crowds. By dinner time many get very tired and hungry. But they all keep the spirit high. What's great bunch of young people.

The volunteers are sacrificing a lot to serve this big game and all the atheletes, they can't meet their families and friends when in the bubble, after the olympic game they still need another 21days quarantine before they can get home. Aaron Blunck has his twitter account suspended after he praised China did a great job on Beijing winter olympic. There is no western media report his interview and his account being suspended. So you better be careful not to talk too many good things about this winter olympic, those haters don't like it. They might go for you if you talk too many good things about China. Also a lot of western vloggers who have been living in China for some times and do a lot of vlogs about good things in China. A lot of them get attacked by the western medias saying that they're the traitor and were paid by the Chinese government.
I saw screenshots of the banned page and one after it got restored where he only had a few dozen followers versus the 6k+ now that it's back to normal. His last tweet was on July 2, 2021 so not sure if twitter removed his latest tweets because supposedly he asked twitter why he was banned but I didn't see any screenshots of that. However, during the time of suspension I could not google his twitter account at all. After it got restored, the results started showing up.

Volunteers at the Olympics are the ambassadors with a single mission - to make the visitors have a memorable stay in this country. The athletes who medal or performed their personal best will of course be happy but that is only probably 10%. The objective of the volunteers is to make even the remaining 90% happy and bring back good memories of their stay in Beijing to tell their children and grand children. This is my take away having been a volunteer in the Olympic and Paralympic.
So thankful that Viktor gave us a recap of the Beijing Winter Olympics. We are all lucky that we were able to watch the 2008 summer Olympic and the 2022 Winter Olympics. There are so many ppl couldn’t make it due to the pandemic.

However due to all the political bickering noise heard from the media, kind of make me keen to watch. I was a volunteer for Beijing 2008 summer Olympics and I will never forget how audiences sang together and celebrate with others regardless winning the game or not.

Thank you for sharing. Being a south east Asian, winter Olympics is an event most of us usually bypass or dont bother to watch. However due to all the political bickering noise heard from the media, kind of make me keen to watch. I must say I am impressed with the control and functioning of the events and above all appreciative of the vlog from the athletes themselves sharing real life clips with us.
