Nice tutorial for something I will never use, ever ; ) ! Before this tutorial, I would have, hypothetically, tried to launch a game a game via Lutris, but I think it would probably not work as well. Of course, I wouldn't know, since I would never ever try anything like this, ever, obviously.

There's nothing I enjoy more than really buying a game, and then learning how to download the game for free, and then using steam to play the game that I spent my actual real money on.
@@JosephAlnasl I think they were just joking because in the Linux community there is a very old joke of Linux users not having a partner because they are too busy tinkering with the OS. Of course, I was absolutely not flexing, I don't consider having a partner a flex in any way really.
man ... i live in iraq ....pirated games are more legal than other legal ones ;) there is no fairness in pricing between countries when I was 13 years old, it was impossible for me to buy a game for $60 when my father's average monthly income was "700$" -_- thanks to pirated games...I was able to play hundreds of games...literally!! thanks the video :)
Ay, never expected to find a fellow Iraqi. Are you using Linux? (it's a stupid question I know but just making sure) if yes I got a couple of questions, one being is pirating games on there easy? And is Linux easy to use? I'm probably gonna eventually get a pc since consoles are starting to become worst and worst. And I kind of see Linux as better than windows. Though am not sure

Huh? I use Flatpak Heroic and Bottles all the time. It works just fine. Granted, I always use SteamUnlocked so I don't need to install anything, and I always put stuff in ~/Games ~/Downloads or ~/Documents
Installing games this way is not just for hacked or pirated games. It is the only way it seems to install games you actually own and are not buying a lease with the many communities to play it such as Steam made a big deal about just weeks ago.
got gta sa from a totally legal site a few days ago, been playing it nonstop since than, its so much fun, i wanted to switch back to linux lately but was reluctant because i thought i would lose the ability to play it. you really can do anything on linux these days. thank you for this my friend
Having major issues with playonlinux, so i should try heroic game launcher instead? Can you get heroes of might and magic 7 or 5 to work? I'm trying 3 not. And I locked the system up trying to get AOW4 running and had to repair my ntfs drives, that was a mess! :)
Lol, i couldn't make my copy of the game I got from my windows laptop to run through steam and lutris and heroic just worked after adding it to the library. Thank you very much
I do run some GOG games through Heroic Games Launcher, but I kind of like Bottles better for some reason. Maybe because it has more runners to choose from. I rarely pirate stuff anymore, I just wait until a game I like becomes dirt cheap, and regarding software, I just use FOSS. But there was one game I played recently that I was tired of waiting on getting a better price, and since it was a singleplayer only game I gave it a look. And Since I've sunk 70+ hours into this Neuromancer inspired scifi game, I'm definitely going to buy it eventually. And it was incredibly easy to setup using Bottles of course, just install it (worst part because of Inno Setup) and run it.
i reccomend using a search engine that is not google, or bing, or big tech as they censor results through a DMCA the browser and search engine i use is brave and brave search

Nothing wrong with free demos I tried the demo for Dark Souls Remastered, loved the game so much after completion I bought all 3 games.
