Prime mike wasn't just a brute with mad power, he was a master at defence, landing devastating precise shots and had the gas to go non stop. It's no exaggeration to say there won't be another Tyson. It's a shame his prime didn't last long.

if the timing was right and D'amato was younger, enough to stay around a lot longer, Mike Tyson would've been indisputably the greatest boxer of all time because with just a couple years of training under Cus he managed to become champion. Imagine how truly fearsome he could've been if he managed to keep steadily refining his skills with a stable and strict environment.

Hey...i nvr commented before in you tube but today i need to say that i straightaway fell in love with this 2 commentators. They are soooo funnnyyy,so interestinggg to the extend that my nearly shut dwn sleepy eyes suddenly got booosted up as if im 9n my cocaine treat! The best part of the comment was when the beautiful lady(watts her name) imitate the way Tyson's opponent got KO. With her facial fetures saying something like ...'woahhh..what happened??! That was so funny. And the part the guy(whats his name) said abt tyson's opponent.."He is actually trying to look intimidating bulging his eyes but deep dwn he knws what did he got himself into this tyme??" Hahahha..The way he said it really gott me laughing humorously out there.....the laugh that I have not felt for such a long time man!
PS: guys if u r reading this pls let me knw if u happen to visit singapore...bcoz i want to bring j guys to all the places that u nvr seen before. As a token of my appreciation for u 2. My treat...ipromise

I can't believe Ribalta got on a losing streak after such a strong performance with Tyson. I guess he caught the brunt of the up and comers who were training specifically to fight Tyson.

There's little danger to a shorter fighter (Tyson) who goes to the inside, because he steals the taller fighter's power by being too close for him to extend his arms when he punches. Meanwhile, Tyson is right where he has the most power and effect. The only danger is that the taller man will tie him up. Love your boxing reactions.

Try punching something with all your power for a whole minute and see how you feel, your pulse the heart rate.

Ok I'm watching the clip and it's clear that both of the presenters are young and weren't around when iron Mike was doing this. Iron Mike was very intimidating first off so because of that he already has a psychological advantage BEFORE the fight begins just look at the Micheal Spinks fight. Second his style and aggression made it possible to close the gap and disadvantages he may have faced in opponents like height and reach. Basically he wasn't afraid to take a shot to land his own bombs. Thirdly and this is missed by many who are in awe of the knockout prowess of Mike Tyson, he was also a little bit good at the dark arts of boxing like throwing the elbow disguised as a hook but you have to be close to do that kind of work also in the clinches watch how Mike Tyson worked in the clinches. Devastating puncher we all know this but his aggression and fearlessness made it possible to do the things he did. He believed in himself as well which is a potent combination. What the presenters are also not aware of is the landscape of the heavyweight division at the time. Once Mike Tyson swept aside the journeymen and the gatekeepers from the division it was very very difficult to find good quality opponents for him to fight because Mike Tyson then could wreck any plans you had to fight for a world title so it was huge risk for little reward to fight Tyson at that time. I loved watching Mike back then because he never ducked anyone and if there was a fight to be made then it was made and we got to see that fight unlike today where fighters want the biggest purse but don't want to fight the best to be called the best.

Yup, any promotor who thought they had a prospect who might challenge for a title made sure to keep them well away from Tyson - all secretly hoping he'd either fade away due to a lack of profitable fights, or, lose should he earn a mandatory title shot.
