If Ox didn't face that horrible injury back then, today he'd be a regular starter for both club and country. Back in 2018 his place in the England World Cup team was obvious. But everything got ruined

Yeah always rated Ox he has his consistency every now and again but he's a top footballer no doubt. If he can work on his game off the ball he'd definitely be keeping Mane on his toes to play better. Still Mane tips him currently for his work rate. But yeah hope Ox gets more game time.
Allison was fantastic, we were carved open alot in the 2nd half and were lucky to get the penalty. But a good win. Hope Ox stays fit, he offers something different in midfield because he loves running with the ball and getting in the box

Yes, alisson save many shots on that match even though most of it are miss. I'm a bit pissed at matip, he literally stop running and start jogging, making virgil run to defend Ali alone. Luckily that the ref give us the penalty goal at the last minute of the match

Alisson looked devastated by how the defense was horrible and the amount of chances Crystal palace had. Can't blame him, not sure what's going on with the defense, some games they seem to be the best in the world and the game after no effort at all. Props for Alisson for saving the day and having an all-out great season. Still props for the offensive side for giving such performance without their 2 best attackers Salah and Mane.
Defense has some issues (VVD is not yet at 100% , Trent frequently is off position) but the real problem is in middlefield. The high line system, which Liverpool plays with, demands total concentration and hard press. When the opponents break the high press of our middlefielders and attackers, then our defence is in trouble. The absence of Winaldum (excellent in closing spaces) , and several absences (due to injuries, Africa Cup) in middlefield/attack, makes that very demanding system, hard to follow.
It's the damn high line Klopp is insisting on, even if we in lead. Plus individual mistakes turns to immediate counter attacks where defence is overrun.
Van dijk Is so slow now, that injury cost him alot
First half-hour was probably the best football I've seen played by any team for a very long time. After that, well.. 3 points is 3 points!

I think at second half they got tired and crystal palace put a lot of pressure hence we cant keep the ball

it's a difficult decision, that's why the VAR referees were not able to confirm whether it's a penalty or not. It's up to the referee in this case, based on his judgment wether the player would've been able to get the ball again.
Conclusion: If the referee says it's a penalty, no one can blame him, and if he's said otherwise, no one can blame him as well.

Allison was immense today. First 35 mins we were awesome. Not 100% what changed, we gave them hope with sloppy play. I think they showed tiredness as they haven’t had a huge squad to choose from. A couple of weeks to restore their campaign!

Even seeing Liverpool losing a game is less surprising than seeing them get dominated the way Crystal Palace did in the second half.. Now I understand how they were able to win against a team like Man City. Happy to come out victorious in the last league game (hopefully) without Salah and Mane!

Well, Fabinho had a 100% conversion rate at Monaco. Reliable just like Milner. I thought klopp was gonna let milner take the pen but they trusted fabinho
On the other hand, Salah has a good record too but he prefers to blast it rather than place it. I'd go with fabinho but it helps salah add to his tally

This is a huge win for Liverpool given the circumstances, but it should not distract from the fact that Liverpool's defense looks really really shaky. It seems that every ball over the top posed danger. Another team with better finishers, and Liverpool could have easily conceded 3 or 4 goals. It's a game that should set off alarm bells ahead of a crucial period on all fronts (League, League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League).
yeah, this has happened couple times before this season. Liverpool were leading then suddenly they switched off, everybody looks panic, cant control the the ball, cant make proper pass. If Liverpool face big teams like this, we would get destroyed.
Teams won’t be able to push so far forward when Mane and Salah are back in the team. They’ll be hit with devastating counter attacks
As much as I love liverpool haven't you noticed how the team clusters towards where the ball is, there's no spacing between them leaving defence weak since it takes them longer to return to defensive positions
I think Liverpool defence is not up to mark. As much as we can compliment Alex. Arnold for his attacking and sublime crosses', I must say his defence is very weak.

Palace really expose our weakness in defense. Van Dijk easily caught by fake runner. 3-4 players running to our box to intercept long ball. we need to keep fix this issue. may be we need to press the player with the ball, so he cant make a long pass easily

Van dijk sometimes let the opponent go pass him with the ball and never act urgently to block or to intercept,a bit risk for GK,I think it need to be improved or it will be our weaknesses same goes to situation when TAA in defending position,he superb in attack but lack in defend

We need to speak about how slow has Van Djik became in tracking back and is not going for risky tackles. He just jogs with the opponent striker allowing the tap in pass to happen! Matip was sloppy as well. Joe Gomez or even Nat Philips must be given some game time

Alisson Becker did excellent job under goalpost and insured a win for Liverpool. The first half belonged to Liverpool and the second rested with Crystal Palace. The penalty award to Liverpool was not fair.
To be honest after that injury big Virgil lost his speed,nowdays he is become really slow on ground. Hope he will regain.

Liverpool played so poorly after leading 2 goals. The score line is deceiving. We were sleeping and CP could have equalized easily if not for Ali and being more clinical. Our central defense needs to step up. Maybe Matip still take a rest and let Ibu play next time.

What happened on the second half?! We just switched off like that. Everybody seem lethargic and nervous. We were so lucky that Palace was so wasteful.
This has happened couple times this season. We switched off from leading position and can't control the game afterwards. I'm worried.
