Hello my friend. Have you been to the beach in Guanica called "CAÑA GORDA".? Se usted to go there in High School trips, and the have cabins that you can rent for weeks or weekends. The water is cristals clear, warm, and calm. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you ever went to that beautiful beach.
Thanks Lori! No, I haven't been to Cana Gorda yet, but we just recently went to Playa Santa and La Jungla and I loved it! You'll see those in an upcoming video!
Try to get in touch with the office of CAÑA GORDA RESORT BEACH CABINS, because there is a waiting list, if you are interested in renting a cabin by that beach. That was one of the most famous beaches in Guanica, and we made made day trips there in High School. We had lots of fun there.
When I saw you wanted to plant poinsettias on your finca I was mortified. I pretty much grow coffee trees, cacoa and everything you can in PR except for Breadfruit in the Tampa area so the climate is similar except we will bottom out at around 41 F degrees for lowest temp of the year. On the poinsettia, I wanted to tell you what my experience is here in Florida. They are a noxious weed. They multiply worse than anything and what you buy in stores is the product of hybridization. When you let hybridized flowers reproduce upon itself without intervention, the seeds revert back to prehybridized plants or sometimes end up exaggerating the worse features of the parent plants.
Wow! I have never heard that experience with poinsettias before. I know a few people who grow them ornamentally here and have never had a problem. I think they look so beautiful as a small bush or tree!
Jibarito called us by some Spaniard Iberia and of the Hebrew. America's are the leader of the lost ten tribes. We believe Pilgrims is one part. The rest is history, so he will start talking Spanish like the others from the island. Is like we grow up their, different world. Not for everybody but for us. If I go to live again in the island ill be checking the Americans from here. Def.

Siii we see them all the time on our farm! Our son loves to find them and play with them!
Sweet, is you want better bananas, cut the pampano, the bottom part, that give more strength to the plant!
The bell flower? We have tried it both ways but we haven't found much difference so we just leave the flower on.
