      Thanks. I'd like to improve the narrative... can you explain what you mean by "voice was wide more than understandable"? Wayne

    Just what I needed, thanks. Renewing after 20 years of not flying. Used to have to do this all by hand!

    Nice pointers, even for those of us who know how to use ForeFlight, its allways good to see how others do it as well . . .

    Thanks, GG. I added to my future "when I have Foreflight app" list. Great way of getting up and running. It's uncanny what you can do nowadays.

    Thank you for sharing it would be more helpful if you showed how to exit in and out the various pages and each step slower of what to click on and how to move to the next task.

      Herbie, you might find it helpful to run thru the written "Primer on ForeFlight" a couple times, then watch the video. Here's the Primer... bit.ly/wam-foreflight-primer. Thanks for checking in! Wayne. BTW, pls let me know if the Primer helps or not.

    Question:
    I figured you may know, we just ordered/received 2 Bose A20’s with Bluetooth and we can’t figure out how to pair “both” headsets to the iPad (1 device/2 headsets)....
    Now I know you know how!!!

    • @GeezerGeekPilot
      @GeezerGeekPilot  4 года назад

      I'm far from a Bluetooth expert, but I do know that Bluetooth is primarily a one-to-one protocol... in this case one iPad to one headset. I'm pretty sure it won't support one-to-many. If you have an AUX port on your com system, you could plug (i.e. via an old fashion mini-phono cable) the iPad audio jack into the AUX port and get what you want.

      Thanks I figured that but if anybody knew and end a round it would be you!

    I've always wanted to be able to adjust altitude at a waypoint in ForeFlight. For example, say you are flying into complex bravo airspace, it would be nice to remind yourself to climb or descend at a particular fix. Does FF do this? If not, I bet it is in the works. Every time I turn it on, there seems to be a new feature or three!

    • @GeezerGeekPilot
      @GeezerGeekPilot  4 года назад +1

      Levi, it's clear that ForeFlight knows it has to do much more to connect altitude (e.g. step climbs, level offs, step downs) into the flight plan. You can assign altitudes now (on the Map page, FPL, Set Altitude/Speed) but they are not depicted in the Profile view and they are not included in performance calculations.
      This gets discussed frequently on the Facebook ForeFlight Users group... and a couple ForeFlight staff respond that... it's well known, and (wink) being worked.

    Helpful, but too fast on the page changes, etc. I could not follow what to tap for some transitions. Seems like this is a good tutorial for someone who is already familiar with the basics of navigating around ForeFlight. I'm a raw beginner.

      Ed, the video indeed goes a bit fast... but all the material is provided for leisurely reading and a sitdown with ForeFlight at bit.ly/wam-foreflight-primer. All the best. Wayne (DA40 KSBA)

      @@GeezerGeekPilot Roger that, Wayne. I found the tutorial and it's much easier to follow the steps. I'm now using your approach to set up some sample flights. Works great, especially the Profile tab. I hadn't noticed that one. It tells me right away if I'm going to blunder into someone's controlled airspace.
