I think the reason Snikrot was redone was because the old model was Finecast and GW are trying to replace all Finecast. That said, if the old model ends up in a Ork one week made to order wave, I'll pick him up, just as I picked up the two Yarricks. Now I remember why I missed AND hated the old metal minis 🤣.
I can not believe Tom and Ben don't recognise the universal stance for "Come at me Bro!", that the Lord of Hubris has 😁.
I'm patiently waiting for them to redo the dark angel Ezekiel, because he's actually still the metal model from the 90s. The sculpt was really nice and has held up pretty well, but I'd love to see a more modern version of him. Plus they charge like $35 for him, a metal model, when I got him for like a third of that price originally.
@@KingBobbito Yeah, I remember getting a Dark Angels Army deal from White Dwarf back in the early to mid 90's. That was when they had special offers to buy the 2 forces used in the Battle Report of that month. To get the same equivalent today you would be looking at hundreds of pounds, so much cheaper and that was when I lived in Cyprus, GW used to charge 40% of the total cost as Postage. So £100 order would become £140 with P&P!
If I remember right , the army was Azrael, Ezekiel , the Special Character Banner Bearer , 2x 10 man Tactical Squad, a 5 man Terminator squad, a Devestator Squad and a "Dark Angel" Dreadnought with twin linked Lascannons and Missile Launcher.

Seeing them call Pink Guy in the batman meme 'that motion capture guy from cyberpunk' triggered my nerd rage like nothing else in at lest the last 5 years.
the Vashtorr mini would be way better with different and or more eyes. It currently looks quite startled, which kinda kills the evil machinations vibe.

I just got back into plastic crack after a 20 year gap that new Storrmguard magazine and found a 1500 point chaos army in my bitz box! Praise Kremlow!
Not sure if it's available as an audio book but check out 'The Mars Trilogy' {Red Mars, Green Mars & Blue Mars} By Kim stanley robinson.
Personally I think Its one of, If not the best book set ever written!

Combining Ben's comment about Medieval art (which is probably manuscript art) and Tom's about how weird Heironymous Bosch's works are, it kind of feels like Bosch was just redoing the weird manauscript art but in a more realistic Renaissance style.
I feel like a man being eaten by a bird is tame compared to some of the weird stuff in the margins of manuscripts.

Nothing mechanical, just gives the player something to do if they don't want to use their other vote rules. It also makes their preference clear to inattentive audience members, so that's nice.

I looked into an age contrived before, and after their massive ad campaign is a gigantic let down. It's more show than substance.
Amazing game for streamers but outside of that I don't see this game being all that amazing for most other people.

@@dermathze700 it’s basically a Warhammer podcast at the end of the day. But Tom is the more interested in fantasy. Which is fine and understandable because he is what he had growing up. But sometimes he doesn’t seem to like 40K and it just becomes constant complaining about shit that isn’t actually real.
@@redhood1060 you realise Fantasy was "The" Warhammer before 40k was even a thing right? It is just as much "Warhammer" as 40k is....
Why bother caring about the lore when it's blatantly all about hyping up the newest or most popular things that they can sell models of? I will never understand people who take 40k lore seriously, because it's so full of contradictions and retcons and stuff that's just in there to sell new models... Obviously you should enjoy what you enjoy, but I stopped caring about the difference between "This is what I think is cool and makes sense" versus "This is ~official Warhammer canon~" years ago, because it's all going to get replaced with new stuff soon enough anyway.
I enjoy listening to Tom talk about it because it feels like someone who's actually judging stuff on its own merits rather than through the lens of it adding to the 40k lore or the canon or whatever.

Hearing Tom complain about there, being space, marines in a HH book is like hearing somebody complain about there being water in a swimming pool. That’s why we buy the books that’s the interesting part. Also, I don’t get the hatred for the “never dies” I find them quite relatable and they’re having a human story going alongside the more grand plot helps centre the narrative.
I know this is mostly opinion, but I do genuinely think he kind of complains for the sake of it sometimes.
Also, there aren’t that many solar war books, there about 8 or 11. Depending.

If you want a human element to a story, normally you'd just use actual humans, not immortal characters. Like mortality is probably the most defining about being a human versus being a superhuman demigod.

once i realized King of the Castle was an lgtbq game, i stopped watching the video.
It lets you set a pronoun because you will appear in game events. Then you get a title and character model that matches you.
