Got back from Hollinshead resort in Ontario a couple days ago. The fishing was insane. Eight of us, 4 boats played Game of inches! Every boat was over 133 inches for 5 fish. One guy has fished it for 20 years and NEVER believed he would be disappointed in a 26 inch walleye! The game added a lot of fun and good tension every night when we came in and reported! Thanks for getting us started.
I'm used to seeing you red! Windburn, sunburn, burned cooking lunch. You're an animal! Keep up the great videos, and i love the tips and enthusiasm! Keep up the hard work, sunscreen or not.
I just realized something watching one of your camping videos… Cindy could have her own outdoor channel just by moving one letter, (Clayton’s Chick Outdoors). 😁
I was trolling a crank to find them yesterday and would then stop and jig when I caught one. Worked well when I was checking new spots but it had to be ticking bottom intermittently.
Challenge accepted! I probably won't have a chance to attempt this until late July though. The water is definitely way warmer in the north end, warmest I saw on Monday south of Pyotts was 54. The spring bite in the south is always a week or more behind the North end of the lake. Caught fish in shallow along shore same as you are here, just not many fish in each spot yet.
Great video Clayton, love spring walleye myself over here in Arnprior ON. Would you consider doing a video on your walleye gear used? I know you usually cover rods, reels and baits but I was thinking like tackle storage for cranks and plastics and your favourite net etc. I absolutely love back trolling with the berkley #7 flicker shad and minnow but haven’t yet found a good kit for storing such crank baits. Keep up the great work! Love your content.
Great Video!! Just curious on how you like your StarCraft? I'm about to buy a Smoker craft adventurer 188t which is the same boat as your. Also what are the mounts you use for LiveScope and Mega 360? Thanks.
You’ll love the boat! I am honestly so happy with mine. Way bigger casting deck and just a way better built boat overall. I run mounts from arc lab motor sports :). He has all the proper angles needed now for that boat :)
G-Loomis makes a good rod, they do have a lot of different price point options such as the E6X and I feel they a little lower quality rod compared to what you can get for that price point, but then you look at the GLX Walleye series and they are world class rods :) I have quite a few Loomis rods.
That is the livescope. Water was dirty, and was trying to get the screen cleaned up. I also like higher sensitivity so I can see my lure better. The lag might be from the editing portion most likely.
@Clayton Schick Outdoors yea I was thinking that as well. Editing or possibly RUclips lag. Either way, loved the video. Do you use almost the same color palette that you used on the humminbird? Maybe that fooled me into believing it wasn't livescope
@@jeremyshea9427 arc lab has a new handcuff mount Rhys are just coming out with that is even better for trolling :). Call them up tell them I sent you.
Dude. You gotta start using sunscreen! Coming from a guy who never did while fishing and now I have extreme sun damaged skin. I luckily haven't had cancer yet. Reapply as well.
I’m 41 with permanent sun damage except my eye and forehead areas. I look sunburnt even in the winter time. Definitely wish I used some sorts of sunscreen over the years.

That perch..!! Freakin' AWESOME! 🤘🎣
great video that does seem like a great lake for the marble eyes,
WOW! What a fish!!!
Cheers!
Love the instructional videos, but the challenge videos are definitely my favorite! Can't wait to see how you do!
Agreed!

Nice catches for sure, well done .

That is a good way to locate fish :)
Nice fish, I really like these self challenge’s they keep
your content interesting and entertaining. Keep up the great work my friend.
I enjoy them more myself too :)
Have you fished Boundary at all this season? Some of your early videos were bass fishing.
Nice haul!
Nice vid bud cheers
Awesome buddy!!

For sure cold in the south! South holds big ones though! In the fall I am going to destroy this score :)
Fun stuff Clayton!
Cheers!
Clayton those are giants
Those are just very mediums :)
Nice brother
113 inches is a very respectable 5 fish bag! Trish and I will definitely give it a shot when we are out there again! Great video as always.
Not bad for LOTP I have bigger scores on other lakes, but happy with that there :)

I can work on some of those ideas for sure :)
Might have to try the CSO challenge when I can get out there!
Heck ya! It can be beat :)
Great video as always! Question for you. What brand is your net. In your past lake trout videos you often carry two different sizes.
They are a Frabill net. This one is the conservation series net :)
I always enjoy your videos
Appreciate you continuing to watch!
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors You're going to have to hook up with Jay Siemens at his outpost camp and do some fishing challenges.
Nice
Man I wish I had a boat, would take you up on the best 5. Let go a 6.3lbs walleye yesterday. Give you an Ontario run for your money haha.
HAH! Has to be on LOTP :)
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors guess a plane and a boat's a little outside my price range lol
113 inches hey, that's a solid bag for a one man day.. ill take a crack at it next time I am there.
Not bad for one man on LOTP
Great video! Do you think us shore fishing guys could catch up there? I’ll try beat your 113” from the shore!
The shore fishing at LOTP till about mid June is REALLY good!
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors Thank you sir!

Awesome glad to hear. Do you ever feel the motor is underpowered for the boat? What is your top speed?
@@mattcoppolino2979 32mph but I have 6 batteries and a talon. Plus trolling motor lol.
I’m happy with the 90. Really quick out of the hole.
decided to go back to the humminbird live for filming? or is there still a plan to switch over to livescope?
That was Livescope. Was very dirty shallow water though, hence the mess on the screen.
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors i see, looked very similiar color pallette to the humminbird
Do you ever use the G Loomis rods? Those Elliot rods I have heard good things but haven’t seen them in store yet.

@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors ok thank you. I have one E6X but if Pokeys gets the Elliot rods I my get one!
So are you going to have the chance to go Guiding again this year for a bit?
lol Fun video butttt I tried going after your title in gaunes shack and got killed. Dont know If I want to embarrass myself again ha ha
HAH!! Can always try again :)
Fishing with humminbird live? Looks like it's lagging. Where's that garmin at?

@@jacobvarner9022 yes. I really like the blue, yellow, red. Maybe I’ll try some other colors this summer yet
@Clayton Schick Outdoors Do what works for you. I used to love amber but can't go wrong with blue.
What livescope pole are you using?
Arc Lab Motor Sport, been loving the pole!
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors I use summit outdoors and it seems unstable when trying to troll. I’ll check them out. Thank you!

I'm actually curious if you have your limit why can you keep fishing?
Catch and Release. Our rules allow it. Plus I could be fishing for Perch or Pike.
Gotcha just was curious keep em coming best fishing content on RUclips!
Challenge accepted I’ll just take my boy with me he is catching all the trophies but on the south side 😊
Clayton what if this isn't 100% the outdoors and I'm just watching an optical illusion?
❤️
When I grow up I want to be Clayton Schick
Trips and ticks lol

Went to Mexico. Used sunscreen 4 times a day…. I’m always dark…
lol sunscreen is worse for you then the sun, do your research. Wear long sleeves and buffs and have a great day on the water

That doesn't look like any fun 😂🍻
Never :)
If 18" is the minimum, I'll never register any fish 😂😂
No more bird man? I see three different graphs on your boat?
