Thank you - this was so much fun to make! My little group will be making these for some seniors at an Alzheimer's unit and I know they'll love them.
This is such a cute project. Thank you for moving at a steady speed.
I love this so much!! The pattern is easy to follow along and it looks so cute after. I so far have made 5 and as I am writing this I am making my 6th. I cant wait to put these around my fireplace with the small pumpkins I made. :)
Cute but a bit fast for a newbie, I can’t even get the white done.
You can always pause the video and then when you are ready move on. I try to keep it moving so the videos don’t all end up hours long 😉
Thank you for the video! If I were to give constructive feedback though… can you please change the batteries in your smoke alarm 😅 I can’t finish watching this because my dog is terrified of that sound.
Ok, thanks
YES! I was about to say the same.
Can I make this with cotton yarn?
Yes cotton should be fine just make sure to use a 3.5 or 4 mm hook.
Could you put a written pattern ?
It is on my list of patterns to type up, check back soon to see if the link is in the description.
Is cotton yarn. ok to use?
Of course, any yarn is okay to use! :D
Do you have a pumpkin video??

Can you clarify a few things on that last row (the 2nd decreasing row of orange)? You say that row will be SC & decreasing through both loops, but you seem to actually be decreasing through the FRONT loops. I watched in slow-mo several times... is it just the angle that makes it appear that way?
Also, in the row prior, your decrease stitches pulled through all 3 loops on the hook, but in this last row, you seem to be doing an extra yarn over (pulling thru 2 loops, yarning over, and then pulling thru 2 loops to finish the stitch).
Other than that, this was mostly easy to follow, although you changed your counting patterns halfway through. Very cute, hope mine turns out just as well!
So the sc is through both loops and the decreases are front loop only for the row in question. I think because I was going kind of fast it looks like I am doing it differently but I’m really not, I promise 😊 thanks!!!
Is there a written pattern?
I am working on getting them all typed up and posted. There will be a link in the discription as soon as it is up.
I am trying to make one thats about 14in tall (about 10'ish inch base?). Im using bernat blanket yarn and I know that already sizes it up but not enough... I heard that if you want to size up you can do twice as many stitches and do 2 of each row (so if its a row of 6 you do 12 instead and then you repeat the row again before starting the next row in the pattern), do you happen to know if that would work for this? Or any advice on how to size it up to a jUMBO candy corn? lol I hope all this makes sense
That sounds like it makes sense. I will try it and if it works out I’ll make a new post with the larger version.
maybe try doubling your bernat yarn and your hook or you could try the big line in bernat you’d have to use a 25mm hook though 😳
@@marshflowerstudio Thank you so much!!! Ive been busy working on crochet pumpkins for each of my neighbors (plus a package that was very late) so Im only just now getting to sit down and test anything having to do with the candy corn. I kept trying to find a pattern that started from the bottom-up but couldnt find one so Im debating doing my "mockups" in reverse lol... I felt like it would be easier to see if the sizing was right if I started from the bottom, but it might end up being too chaotic so we'll see here in a minute I guess haha
Can you slow down a little?
I try to keep them quick so the videos aren’t hours long. You can always pause if I move on too fast.
