I've seen Sevendust 3 times and they never disappoint live at all. One of the most underrated bands of all time and one of my all time favorites.

@@southernmetalhead1535 I was there too. It was my first time back since 2015. I just chugged 3 beers before walking in and the alcohol hit me as soon as they started playing. It was so surreal man.
I met them in Afghanistan 2008 🇦🇫 helped them load their gear as I got in country
Sevendust, very underrated band. Heavy as fuk.
They were massive in the mid nineties on the non commercial circuit. It was mostly Tool, KoRn, Incubus and Seven Dust which came received more attention after the Grunge era had fizzled. (Before KoRn ended up on the mainstream circuit) In other words young people who weren’t into commercial radio and who preferred hard Rock or Metal were into these bands. I could almost add the Smashing Pumpkins to this but they were all over commercial radio but still seen as alternative because they were different etc.
Why do people say underrated so freely about certain bands? Sevendust was just as big as any other band in that time frame. What justifies that to you?
@@Watchout5035.Well underrated in band terms basically means "in comparison to the bigger bands of that genre" for example, Sevendust is incredibly underrated in comparison to Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park, Deftones. So generally speaking no, they're not underrated. But in comparison to other bands, yeah they're pretty underrated, especially considering how skilled Sevendusts band members are.

Nothing more needs to be said than if Devin Townsend praises you for being an amazing human, than you must be one great guy! Devin has also has always made it clear to his legions of fans, who most would consider some of the nicest fans in metal, that Chad and the rest of Nickleback really get hated on for nothing more than being so incredibly popular, and that people are/were just sick of hearing them 24/7, and not because there music was poorly played, or poorly written… Nope, Nickleback and Chad were just victims of their own insane success!
So if Devin Townsend thinks you are an amazing human, as someone widely considered “the nicest human in heavy metal”, then damn, even being one of Nickleback’s biggest haters you would have to at least hear him out with a heart & brain like Devin Townsend . Damn, you are obviously a solid and amazing dude who is also an absolutely amazing musician, not to mention composer & producer!
I disliked Nickleback as a kid growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s for that exact same lame reason, just being sick of hearing their music so often, and as a kid anything popular was lame, just because… Oh how silly we can be as children, Nickleback is such a talented band, there is absolutely no doubt about that, and to hear that Chad is also a down to earth solid dude takes the cake! Hats off to you Chad, and not to mention the rest of the band, you certainly have earned my respect!

I saw Sevendust at Camp Carroll, South Korea when I was stationed there in the Army. It was back in 2009, I think. There was like 50 people at the show. It was pretty badass that they came all the way over there for us.

They are indeed! I loved that he had all these different guitars for different songs all set up perfectly rather than just using the same guitar, he knows he gets a different sound, a dif key is needed etc and the fact they chug jager between songs made me like them even more
Yes. I've never understood why they got so much hate. They've always sounded good and Yea some songs are dirty but no worse than anything else but they Also have some of the most meaningful songs to.

My dad told me he saw em' open up for Nickelback in 04' they were so Brutal! Favorite album is "Seasons". I love "Broken Down"! Hopefully Nickelback will do tour with them again next year.

Angels son was dedicated to an album of a bunch of big musicians and singers to a guy named Lynn strait who was the singer of the band Snot. Who passed away and they all came together to make an album for him. Albums called strait up

I saw seven dust in Mosul Iraq in 2009. I then flew on a c-130 to Kuwait with the whole band and their gear. Cool dudes

Even today. Sevendust’s stage presence has dropped off as they get older, but they just bring a certain energy that is undeniable.
This is what kills me about Nickelback...they can actually play. They can really shred and are very talented, but it's NEVER reflected in their singles. There are a few hidden gems on their albums, especially the earlier ones, that really show how heavy and solid Nickelback can really be. Side of a Bullet, Because of You, Flat on the Floor, Animals, just to name a few

Sevendust used to show up and perform at soooo many shows in Phoenix area several years ago. Loved it each time. They're phenomenal.
Just saw Sevendust the other day on their tour with Static X and it was def top 5 concerts of all time. I didn’t stay for Static X but my friend who was at the concert who did stay told me that Static X no where nearly matched the hype of Sevendust which caused some people to leave

Most people probably don’t realise that Nickelback played pubs for several years (about ten from memory) before they found commercial success and started off very heavy too. Seven Dust were massive in the alternative circuit or bands that weren’t all over commercial radio in the 90s, which members of Nickelback were probably into at the time. Might have even attended a Seven Dust concert.
Their second album was rock perfection, especially the song Leader Of Men!
Sevendust is an amazing band and amazing LIVE band. Severely underrated and awesome guys.

I’ve seen Sevendust opening with Breaking Benjamin opening for Shinedown back in 2015. That was a really awesome show, Sevendust we’re especially awesome!

Honestly, Sevendust does not make bad music in any way. And if you dont listen to them, Thats on you. These guys absolutely only write good music. Driven is such an incredible song. I cannot reccomend 7Dust enough. They are an easy 8/10

I’ve seen sevendust twice amongst a respectable list of other bands and other than avenged sevenfold they were hands down the most powerful stage presence I’ve seen.
Saw them at the Tattoo the Earth Tour in 2000. They played, then Slayer and Slipknot. One of the best days of my life.

I saw sevendust during taste of chaos back in like 2004. Still the best show I've seen to this day. Guitarist did a backflip off one of the speakers while playing. Story of the Year had to follow, I was front row, Dan Marsala drippin sweat in my mouth. Needed it after the earlier moshpits during As I Lay Dying.

I don't own any seven dust music or listen to it much in my truck or anything but I have seen them live several times and they are unreal live. The recordings never do them justice.
