    So basically if you break your rear glass, it will take longer than a screen replacement lol

    I’m not crazy. The iPhone looks so good on the inside and it appears to have so much better components than for example a Samsung Galaxy. It’s that correct ???

    • @GeckoClever
      @GeckoClever 7 лет назад +3

      No. Not even close. If you say that, then you have NO IDEA what youre talking about.

      There are many components that are better than Samsung devices. And vice versa. I wouldn't say "much better" making it sound like it crushes it. But they both have their ups and downs.

    Good video. But I don’t understand why you don’t use any ESD control good pattern. Bare hands are not a good idea for electronics repair.

  • @MendicantBias1

    Chip efficiency is more important than battery size. A larger gas tank doesn't matter if you've got an inefficient engine under the hood. The A11 has proven to be both more efficient and more powerful than the latest Qualcomm chips.

    I wish the battery was bigger.Imagine an iPhone 8 with a 2500 maH and an iPhone 7 Plus with a 4000 maH.With Apple A11 bionic’s efficiency and the huge battery size,we would be able to use them 2 to 3 days easily.

    Hi Kelsea, It's great seeing this breakdown. I was wondering what are the dimensions of the qi wireless charging coil. I have a magnetic car mount and want to place a "Scosche Magic Plate" at the bottom back of my iPhone 8 so the quick charging process won't be limited or interrupted. Thank You. Sal R.

    Harder to access, smaller battery, same camera. So other than the main chip, it's a MINOR upgrade from the 7, but a HIGHER price and SMALLER battery. But!!! not to worry iPhone lovers! It's still colorful, sexy, slim and stylish LOL.

    I guarantee the glass back can be removed from the back just like the Samsung phones. I bet apple paid them to say this to make people think its a pain to fix. Yet it will take 5 mins to replace!

  • @jackdaniels7696
    @jackdaniels7696 7 лет назад

    6/10 repairability when you need a myriad of rare drivers, tweezers, heating gun, suction cup, multiple cards to pry the screen with multiple points of easy breakage?! I don't know how experienced the average iFixit watcher is but I think you have gotten too used to apple/recent phones absurdity levels. This is a 2/10 for the common man imo.

    • @SCtester
      @SCtester 5 лет назад

      There is no modern phone meant to be repaired by a common man. This is absolutely a 6/10 unless your comparing it to a 2010 phone.
