Absolute legend🙌🙌 I am a sad old ex-squaddie Brit. A lot of us shit heads loved the Irish, we feckin, creamed ourselves listening to your amazing music. It still punches me in my rotten heart. Best wishes to all you Wonderful Irish brothers & sisters. 👊👊👊🙌👍👍
That's great, coming from a Brit, we have a history of bad blood but you can't beat the music I think we have moved on from all the shit that blighted us for a long time
Mick Corbett you are a wonderful man, do not kick yourself anymore, every one of us has done and said thing which was wrong at the time, looking back we regret out mistakes in life, Me Iforgive everyone who is strong enough to say they got it wrong when they did, that frees us all and for that I say Thank you
Really Luke is the Prince of Folk SONGS. Everyday I listen The marvelous SONGS sung by him. We never forget you, Luke. GOD bless you. Rest in peace. 🎼🎼🎼🎵👏👏👏👍☘🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Thanks so much for this piece of history. Luke`s voice is the best. I never knew anything about his background despite being a life long fan of them all!! 💚💚💚💚💚
Luke Kelly became a musical icon of mine only recently and I admire his style. I now have a connection to the band in more ways than one. Shame he has gone, Fantastic voice.
The most talented & gorgeous man I've ever seen , what a shame he died so young , never heard a voice like his , don't think i ever will again xxxx RIP Luke .
Ah well brosnaboy, it could be worse weather!!!!! Enjoy the bard, that is luke Kelly!!! Check out Shane Mac Gowan (A drink with Shane) The book that his now wife wrote in HIS words!! Enjoy.
I always thought the sound of Luke and Ronnie was great. When I was a kid I thought it was one voice. Luke's passionate, firey delivery with Ronnie's bass textured sound. It was like one sound. It was great!
Just great. If he performs a good song, you can feel it running down your spine. He and Ronnie Browne died at a similar age. Both the most talented folk singers of all times.
I think this was quite like where Ronnie said that "Luke's a Communist, you know", and I love it to this day, just fort the comedic effort! I've seen documentaries, and I've watched MUCH later stuff on RUclips! But Luke Kelly had a very firm communist foundation from where he saw his life! I'm so sad that he died so early, even if I didn't agree with him at the time!
My brother saw them last live show with the original lineup got me a signed album it is in it's own glass case on the bar in my living room I was 4 when we left ireland mom and dad are both Dubliners
If Luke played in a rock band he would have been the greatest rocker of all times along with that other Dubliner the very great Phi Lynott of Thin Lizzy
Biscuits? Yeuck..... don't get me started on biscuits...... Biscuit Flavoured Fish? Ah Don't even go there.....Yeuck!!!! (Insert picture of complaining seagull)
As a lad i looked just like Luke. But with Brown hair. A massive curley mass of hair. Most lassies didn't like it. But the ones who did LOVED it!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
What..a.singer.his..voice.will.live.on.for..ever....thank.you.for.yoúr..wonderful.talent..luke.x

Best wishes to you too Mick. You can do your Irish brethren a favour and lobby your MP to campaign for Irish unity.

I worked with Luke senior in Jacobs 60 years ago.I often sat in his hut chatting with him on the flour loft.

So sad Luke Kelly ànd Ronnie Drew when they sang together it sounded so good
the gent would smile at the mourning of his passing - celebrate his life
I always thought the sound of Luke and Ronnie was great. When I was a kid I thought it was one voice. Luke's passionate, firey delivery with Ronnie's bass textured sound. It was like one sound. It was great!
Luke ..... One of the best bards
Grand!
@Waxies Dargle bard like the old story tellers and poets and that sort of thing
A great singer I just love Luke singing one of the best
Just great. If he performs a good song, you can feel it running down your spine. He and Ronnie Browne died at a similar age. Both the most talented folk singers of all times.
I said thre exact same words "Sends shivers down your spine" after hearing Alabama '58.
Luke died at the age of 44, in 1984, Ronnie died in 2008 at the age of 73

Yes I know It did not mentioning it, I meant Ronnie Brown of the corries.
My fault, to not speak clearly.
Beautiful tribute to a great talent gone too soon.

Aún hoy en día nos da buenos momentos de música y con mis gracias por ello: Rest in Peace, Luke Kelly.

Paddy Reily is honestly looking better than ever.
Saw him live in 1974. Then I knew what stage presence meant

Fantastic 😁
If Luke played in a rock band he would have been the greatest rocker of all times along with that other Dubliner the very great Phi Lynott of Thin Lizzy
I personally think that Raglan Road is Luke at his finest.
learn't a lot from Luke and Ronnie!
A sad ending indeed. R.
Is there a full version of Luke singing scorn not his simplicity live?
Not as good as the 1999 documentary Luke, but I would love to see the full clip of that performance of "Scorn Not His Simplicity" with Phil Coulter.
Anybody know the music being played over the funeral proceedings it’s brilliant

Hero
Yes, he continues to be our hero forever. We never will forget him, suer!
King.
This is great, but I wish everyone's names weren't cut off at the bottom -- I don't know who all of them are!
i love him been A STEEL FIXER
Sorry this is not a comment against Luke, but the work of mr coulter.
It ticks me off that there's not one full video of Luke Kelly singing Herod's Song.
I don't think that Luke was in the artistic world wel represented. I think he died happy, too soon, yes for us all.
Luke was the Father of Dublin.
Biscuits? Yeuck..... don't get me started on biscuits......
Biscuit Flavoured Fish? Ah Don't even go there.....Yeuck!!!! (Insert picture of complaining seagull)
The one thing that saddens me the most is that Luke did not have a son, or is there little Luke's running about there everywhere , q
When the British immigrated to Ireland they did not know the difference between slaves or their own or who the Irish were.
😣😣😣
11:25 #maynardjameskeenan please for the love of all things holy

I genuinely believe Ronnie drew was completely jealous of luke and I think he secretly hated him
Interesting impression. What leads you to that idea?
