Making Wire Jewellery: Love Letters, introduction to writing with wire, with Jem Hawkes

For today's free wire tutorial, I'd like to share my introduction to writing with wire.
Together we will create a connecting design, which can be used as a standalone piece, wedding favours, a lettered necklace, place names for dinner seating and so much more.
As well as creating the word "LOVE" in wire letters, I'll show you how to connect each end and give you some tips on smooth scripted lettering using wire.
I'm demonstrating in (soft) raw copper 1mm (18 gauge) but once you've mastered the technique, you can absolutely change up to harder types or wire or even heavier gauges.

Great tutorial as always Jem!! I had just made myself the other day the word love out of 16 gauge vintage bronze artistic wire! I always write the word out first so I know what I’m going to do! I didn’t use pliers but I learned from u about hammering! I hammered over the connections but they’re all very very strong except for the l which is a little bit loose! I loved seeing how you did it!
