Would be good for the environment if the line to Skipton was re-opened. (At least less traffic to pollute the atmosphere). We'll have to wait and see.
You're getting near to my home town!!!
Southport to Preston railway might be interesting, if you're this far west!!!!
    Another historic and interesting video!!!
    Regards

The derelict line served a cattle dock, the dock and several rows of houses were demolished when the M 65 was built. The Padiham branch left the main line about half a mile west towards Hapton, now a cycle way and footpath. There were quite large fixings on both sides of the line at Rosegrove, as a Grover its always always been one one word.

No it's still served by trains from when I last was there. A Leeds bound train stopped there and a Manchester one was due to stop

@@Uncoveringlesserthingsknown24 : Most trains stop at the "request" stops, even if nobody wants to get on or off.

To be honest to answer the question from the beginning of the video. For now just improve the service and see how much it would be used. Too many ideas have bee started big and failed in the end. We've got other priorities to worry about at the moment. How to stop the elderly from freezing to death in their own homes for starters...
