Greetings from China. I went to the China-Russia-North Korea border 4 years ago, on the Chinese side the observation tower is a tourist site called Fangchuan(防川). The thing impressed me most is that there are no patrols or fences on the Sino-Russian border. However, even though the border between China and North Korea is separated by a very wide river, there are barbed wire fences three to four meters high with high voltage electricity and lots of cameras on the Chinese side, while the patrolling soldiers on the North Korean side are clearly visible.
@@noahsrebels Yes. There are many escapees from North Korean in border cities of Northeast China (especially in 90s and 00s), most of them just sneak into China to work for a higher salary, and a small number of people want to smuggle into a third country (usually Mongolia or some Southeast Asian countries) through China and then reach South Korea. If these North Korean smugglers are caught by the Chinese police, they will be sent back to North Korea immediately, where they will be shot and hanged...

As I travelled in North Korea 2018 I saw Khasan from the other side quid cool so see it now from the russian side.
What’s it like in nk? Was it scary?
Amazing, with a lovely ending!
The squad of soldiers hiding in the bushes arrests you the second you cross the marker
China as well as North Korea are both very beautify countries, sadly people claiming ownership of it have the power to ruin it all :(

(walking alone) "here we are in the beautiful forest ..."
That´s something remember from my trips to Eastern Europe, clapping when the plane lands.
Good job! Well done!
Clapping for a successful landing, now that's something I haven't experienced for a long time
So the clapping on a successful landing is because that is quite a rare event?
Joking aside, this video was fascinating and I'm looking forward to your follow-up video on the surrounding area. I myself have lived many years on the border between Hong Kong and Mainland China.
I wasn't sure whether tradition to clap hands after landing is widespread outside Russia, therefore I saved this footage and explained.
@@ivantrainsLIVE As far as I know from my personal experience this isn’t common in other countries during normal conditions but I’m sure people will be more likely to show appreciation and relief after landings in difficult weather conditions.
For me personally, I’m not a good flyer and always feel relief after each takeoff and landing, even in good conditions. But I try not to show this as I don’t want others to know how silly I am.
It doesn't happen all the time in Russia, too. Of course, when landing conditions are difficult it is more likely to see this kind of appreciation.
@@ivantrainsLIVE Я из Словакии, и люди, которые не часто летают и, например, летят чартерным рейсом в отпуск, хлопают после приземления. Но други смеются над хлопаним и считают это глупым😂
it looks like those abandoned homes and buildings with "new"ish math books and chinese photo albums, i feel like those are places where north koreans may have stayed while escaping from NK. maybe the smugglers would hold their group of nk defectors, since the doors look new and there are satelite dishes. i think the children's books were probably to keeps the children busy and quiet during day hours.
i remember hearing about that area was a popular escape route, but something happened and made it more difficult (maybe land mines) in around 2016-17.
4:00 Dude you're literally on the edge of the world :)
Cool Video Dude!
...great video! Wonderful to see your subscribers increase. Being on the road so much, I wonder how you edit your videos as you seem to have minimal equipment. Anyway, keep up all the awesome, down to earth, and adventurous content.
