5Ds opening may be great, but DM and GX english openings are the best. DM english opening just fits the idea and aesthetic and theming of the show perfectly, while GX is just so energetic and unapologetically early 2000s and hits the nostalgia hard.
Lord of the Red is unironically a good card. It's a Ritual Monster that makes up for the inherent card disadvantage by popping two cards per turn (assuming your opponent has both backrow and mons), and is level 8...thus allowing for rank 8 plays *after* you've already popped two cards. The biggest issues with it are that it is a Red-Eyes card that is level 8 instead of 7, and it doesn't have any inherent protection. During the MD N/R festival it was an absolute powerhouse...and that festival didn't have either of the "Preparation" cards to play with. If I could change only one thing about the card, however...it wouldn't actually be either of the problems I listed...I would change its attribute to DARK so that it could be used in Chaos decks. Then you could ARA it using BEWD, activate a couple of cards to pop some cards, link it off or XYZ and detach it for some effect (pick one) and have a light and dark in the GY for chaos plays. As it stands right now, Ritual keeps getting so much support that I think it might actually show up...especially since it's a main deck monster in a game that is so obsessed with stopping ExDeck plays. It would actually be a decent card versus Tearlaments since it can activate both of its effects as part of the same chain (though it can't chain to itself), and neither of its effects are hard OPTs...so having multiple copies isn't even bricky.
I used to play Lord of Red a lot back in Link Evolution and even early stages of Master Duel to some success. Then I started focusing more on the fusions. Now my life is taken over by Magicians.
I find dark magician decks to be more reliable in winning duels, for myself at least, but I always give Red eyes and his variants some love here and there
Lord of Red Vendread is also fun iteration, takes forever with Impcantations but Slayer with two banishs and Lord of red for follow up feels sooooo good
Question What exactly does it mean when “lord of the red” says when a card or effect is activated like the effect part means like when a trap/spell or monster effect is activated then it works but what does the card part mean? Like when ur opponent summons a monster?
How my lord of red decks duels go, i go turn 1, i summon lord of red, i pass, my oponnent goes, they summon a negate before i can pop a card, i loose. They also go like this: i go turn 2, then i loose.
Pre - prep alongside sky striker engage are my argument for why pot of greed should be legal. It's just a random plus 1. Put p.o.g at 2 and watch exactly nothing change about ygo as currently constructed. Possibly drawing three cards is good but if you cant do anything with em what did they really do?
Listening to Duellogs explain card text while playing master duel has a very profound effect on my emotions
The ending with the 5ds opening made me laugh so much
I love these videos, but I'd politely ask for longer clips since they're so enjoyable to watch
I never knew i needed to hear hyperdrive sung by TheDuelLogs, my day has drastically gotten better
Hyperdrive cover release when?
didn't someone else say this exact thing in a previous video

The GX opening sounds just like the year 2005 as a whole tbh
Sorry but you’re wrong, easily zexal had the best openings in any of the series
"Why is he called Lord of the Red but his colour is blue?" - Yugizoomer, maybe

Anyone else remember when Joey straight up was lord of red for a bit and then yugioh became a fighting anime for a few mins.
That's why he's the goat.
this is nifty ive been trying to make a decent Lord of Red deck, it just seems fun
Try heretic dragon lord of red
Do you wish to hear the word of the Lord Of Red?
duellogs yugioh 5ds opening cover when
The only 5Ds opening worth mentioning is Believe in Nexus. Unfortunately, you get that opening once 5Ds turns into the "Yusei does everything" show.
Hello? Last Train is fire
Going my way is also a absolute banger, even if it is at the end of the show
Last Train and Kizuna bonds are my favorite
You say that as if Yusei didn't just duel people ALL the time in the first 20 or so episodes in the first season.
@@alter9933 Yeah but at least other characters got some of the spotlight
Lord of Red Vendread is also fun iteration, takes forever with Impcantations but Slayer with two banishs and Lord of red for follow up feels sooooo good
I've been using Lord of the Red in my pure Red-Eyes decks
I played this card in the N/R Festival in my Megalith Deck. LOL
How good was it in Megaliths?
So did I! I miss that festival
@@nicholasfarrell5981 Pretty good since I only bring 1 copy. Destroying 1 Spell/Trap + 1 Monster per turn was fun.
@@yardship Yeah, best festival so far.
Monsters like Lord of Red were the reason Book of Moon was one the best staples in the event.
It’s weird to hear him going from causally speaking to still speaking casually but sounding like he’s reading off a script
What if you
wanted to be stronger than Pot of Greed,
but God said:
"Aight, but then I'll make you solely Ritual support."
I've been debating on running this card in my Drytron deck, I might do a test run with Dagda and Scythe for a Scythe lock with it.
The editing on this is actually hilarious LMAO
No they can't have Mirror force, all set card are known -the old one is a Possessed Partnerships , the set one is Unpossessed.

Excuse me sir but have you heard about our lord and savior "Red".
if you're gonna do a 5D's watchalong, best pace it so that episode 107 plays when Fairy Knight Lancelot is released on FGO NA
Wow
what is the spell after pot of extravagance?
Lord of the red best ritual
for me the thumbnail didnt load so when i read the title i thought it was MTG
What the last trap card in the deck called?
Found it after looking through every trap in the game, it’s called renewal of the world for anyone who was wondering
nah nah nah.. 5Ds jp opening
I use a dryton engine in my lord of red and won a fair amount
Discord link ?
Hey, mr logs. When someone makes a cake they're a baker not a cook. Thought id teach you for once.
Why, then, is the twice baked good a biscuit instead of a bisbait?

Lord of Red is so cool.
I hated 5D's. What a stupid concept.
Build up speed points to play a spell card.
