They are originally Parchment Embossing tools. But ideal for dotting paint etc, I also use them for ticking too. Hold the paint loaded tool on the surface of the lure (such as fins) then use a ticking motion as if you're ticking something correct. Also ideal for painting on the reverse of glass cabochons for round pupil's of the eye's. Another great video, Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year ❄️🏴❄️
That's pretty sweet. Stencil aside I like this because you do truly have complete freedom to do it anyway you want. And the layered dots of different colors kind of reminds me of a native Brook trout. That's awesome
I unfortunately do not have an airbrush, so I do all my painting by hand. It's nice to see someone else do some hand painted detail work. What a cool idea. It turned out beautifully. I am excited to watch more of your videos :)
@@BakerBuilds Im just a Part time lure painter / jig tier upper for personal use guy . ( so far ). but ive been using the broken tooth pick thing on the 2 trout glide baits I did ….. going to order a set of those tools 👊. Seen them used before an I like that they have some size to them to hold onto / grip
Just saw your page on instagram and had to come see your videos, amazing work. Love this video 💯💯 can you point me to the video with the water transfer stencil? Would like to see how it’s done
I was also using a toothpick this is so much better. I’ve been picking up more lure supplies in the lady section lately. I’m waiting for the day for someone to ask me what I’m looking for. That way I can say “oh, just picking up some fishing lure supplies” hahahah
What size nozzle do you use on your airbrush and/or your thinning ratio for white? I was struggling hard with white on my airbrush and It looked so smooth for you!

Do you need an airbrush? HMU if you do. I'll set you up with a kit..
Yes. I would love to try airbrushing.
Very cool. Order my own set right now 👍
I just got done with a seminar on catching trophy lake trout. This is perfect timing and tools to start creating a batch of trout replicas!
Patients produces an awesome looking bait ! Thanks Zac !
You could also use the head of a nail
Those tools work great! I also use them on transfer paper to make my gill plate stencils and adding masking fluid to baits.
They also work very well if you use transfer paper for airbrush canvas artwork. Great tool to have around the shop 😎👍🏼. Bait looks amazing
Thank you!
Those tools are called ball stylus’. They can be found d at craft stores even. Great lure!
Embossing tools. Also a great tool for getting the details out when adding foil to your lures.
Oh good thinking! I’ll have to try that
Love it...but would take me a day to do a 9" musky bait. Lol
My daughter gave me her set of nail dot things. I’ve been using them for over a year. Work great for the rivets on the armor battle.
Great thinking!
Coming back and doing the white was the deal maker … I was like 😱. TOO MANY BLACK DOTS. LoL ….. looks nice brother 😎👊👍
Gave it more depth for sure 👍

Can you do lines with them ? Like the white on a pike ?
Awesome but can you put some teal micro dots on the white which is on the black?
On man that would look awesome! I’ll get it on the next one 🤙
