American culture increasingly pushes the fake and the unreal on its citizens’ minds, not only through the barrage of meaninglessness and hedonism consumed on the internet, but also through the cancellation of talk about God, creation, sin, forgiveness, and spiritual warfare in everyday life. The psalms as daily confession and prayer draw the family back into reality, and the struggles and joys of living the Christian life.
