I've seen from a developer that the Editor Add-Ons are older versions, and the Workspace Add-Ons is the newer version - this info should be clearer, to favor the development of Workspace Add-Ons.
Yes, Google Workspace Add-ons are the newer technology. But since they offer different options compared to Editor Add-ons it really depends on your use case. So it's not a matter of simply choosing the newer technology. Instead, it's about choosing the right technology for what you are trying to achieve.
This video is very confusing. The config and setting screens shown move too fast. For example, I do not see Google Docs API in the filter when I try to add it for my web app. The green and blue color coding in the flowchart is supposed to convey something ? Its certainly not comprehensive as claimed right the the beginning of the video. What would help is a video that shows actually creating one sample app and publishing it to the marketplace.
You can use the newly released Google Workspace Marketplace draft app listing for this. It's currently available through the Developer Preview Program: ruclips.net/video/vha7EuIbed0/видео.htmlsi=4fWbrDEslBiZHm57&t=13
I'll respond to myself then... Yes this is the case for anyone else wondering. You can't make use of your 100 test users when you plan to go public with an addon as you have to expose all of your code to anyone you'd like to test it and give you feedback. I feel this is a real oversite on googles part.
You can choose the language of your store listing. Check this for more details: developers.google.com/workspace/marketplace/create-listing#required_fields
@@googleworkspacedevs Thanks, btw i just created a new version of my project and deployed in Manage Deployments in the app script project and it updated my app in the marketplace.
There is no dedicated video for publishing private apps. Please check the developer documentation instead: developers.google.com/workspace/marketplace/how-to-publish

Thank you for your feedback
@@googleworkspacedevs will you be going through with the suggestion? Or youre ending at the thank you. 😅
Is it possible to create a test version so that the user can install the app as a complement, making it available to test email users?

Am I understanding this correctly? When I was to give users the ability to test the addon I must also give them access to all the code in appscript?

Good summary for an Apps Script app 👍🏽
Google is a complete mess
Agree 100% It shouldn't be this complicated. Looks like they patched together existing components rather than designing a proper process.
can u just simply make a example to publish a simple app step by step form zero to one ?
How to publish google addons internally? Your video is not clear.
