On a Stones bender due to recent unpleasantries. Fantastic to see this version done correctly. '69 to '72 the universe opened up and gave the Stones sounds from another world to disseminate and make the world a better place. I don't think its possible to recreate this type of magic ... I always appreciate you putting yourself out there with this great stuff.

This is an automated message to answer the questions that are going to be posted.
    1. He uses a Peavey Vypyr 100w modeling amp. Buy one and plug a guitar into it.
2.The guitar effects are built in to the amp. If its sounds like a chorus is used, set amp to chorus ect. Easy stuff.
    3. Videos are recorded with a camera mic and music is played from an iPad in the room.
    4. He sleeps and eats food like everyone else.
    5. He learns the songs then plays it. (A guitar player or musician puts work into learning chords and scales and finds that most songs contain those same chords and scales.)
    6. He doesn't use a strap because he is sitting.

I managed to luck out and pick up a 1989 Gibson Custom Black Beauty 3 PU in 2000 for only $1400. I got it because Keith Richards owned a number of them. It's an amazing guitar.
It looks like even though this is in standard tuning, Keith is putting on added notes to the E and D major chords to add more coloring. In his autobiography, he actually went into some detail about the nuts and bolts behind his style. He said how he'd learn how to add notes onto chords in alternate tunings and then he go back to standard tuning and do it there too.

This is when Keith was at his best, Mick Taylor kept him playing the best he could this is my favorite live album. I saw the Stones starting in 75 when Ronnie joined the band and about 4 more times after to about 2006? They always did this song but Keith just went at it not %100 no feeling, not like this song back in 69 he was at his best, he didn't put feeling into it after MT left. Maybe because they play it every time on tour night after night. But to me this is the best..... I love Keith, part of my style of playing you can hear some Keith in my playing. I'm a Blues player when the band I'm in lets me do my Blues songs. I'm also a Buddy Guy fan part of my style also. A big Stones fan up in till Mick Taylor left.

Damn it JJ!! I'm still learning after close to (ugh) 10 years. I'm 51, LOVE the Stones and The Who. I mastered Keith's 'Midnight Rambler'' (my favorite Stones tune, studio and live) it's a great scale exercise and once you capo 7, almost impossible 2 hit a bad note. Recently I've been obsessed with learning Keith's part on 'Sympathy...' from 'Ya Ya's'. IMO their finest version (despite the missing verse). The crunchier, chunkier, more overdriven version from Altamont may have been better if they didn't have to shut it down and go for a retake. So, THANK YOU, I'll be jamming with you all nite. My only complaint; There's no Lovely Assistant covering Bill's wicked bass..., he's criminally underrated. Peace and good health 2 u.
