Well done Jamie and the r and d team ,its nice to see what goes on in the background, I like the look of the new feeders .........on my Christmas list 😊 7:18
I'd like to know how you develope a fishing line. Surely the fishing line boffins are continually doing R&D and you pick a line from a catalogue. I can remember seeing Jamie Hughe's Matrix Horizon reel line break twice for no reason on video he wasn't happy. The same thing has happened to me quite a few times with the waggler. Why change line permitters for no reason with a new variant. Surely this must have happened to the consultant's who test the product. Sheffield's Jamie Harrison is a great ambassador for Matrix.
Agree, very frustrating. Recent launch 25 august, now October no sign of clicker, reel and clip on bait tray cover I want to buy. One retailer says mid November for the clicker, over 11 weeks after launch.
@@paulstacklereviews1695 @carperharvey1832 The Matrix rep visits 2 of the shops in their area (let's say one is 3 miles EAST from you - Shop #A, and the other is 3 miles WEST from you - Shop #B), shows them the new products, and leaves it with them to place an order. Shop #A orders straight away and they get their order fulfilled and delivered quickly and anglers who use that shop see the new stuff and snap it up....meaning there's none left for others. Shop #B delays ordering for a week, which means they're unable to have theirs completed because other shops have been quicker to order which left the warehouse empty and Shop #B has to go on back order for some new items. In the meantime, the company are on a 30-day credit / invoice system with the shops and they can't re-order until the shops pay them, and they are then able to pay the overseas supplier. The supplier won't ship until the replenishment order is paid (again, this might be a 30-day invoice), and shipping from the supplier to the tackle company takes a further 2 weeks. That's 6 weeks that have passed. Now Shop #A is cash-rich and very busy, and places a second order during these weeks, but Shop #B isn't and has to delay paying their invoice by a couple of weeks. Uh oh. The tackle company hasn't fully fulfilled the order for Shop #B because it was slow placing the initial order, and slow in paying for the items it did get, while Shop #A ordered quickly, paid on time and re-ordered. Now, if Shop #A has already re-ordered, while Shop #B is still waiting to have their initial order fulfilled and delivered, and are slow in paying for it, the tackle company will see this, and note it, and know they can move items quicker through Shop #A over Shop #B. Guess which shop gets their re-order dealt with first, and which one is kept waiting because they were slow to place an initial order (and pay for it)? Guess which shop's patrons are happier and remains on better terms with the tackle company?
Hello @Matrix Fishing, I have a question on a Matrix MTX1 Power V2 13m pole (GPO251), which I just bought. Which type and size of elastic would you recommend to use with Power kits for large carp ? How "high" do you think I can go with the elastic thickness, so I won't break my Power kits, but still be able to land large carp ? I have the same question regarding the Match Kit. Thanks in advance !
@@jamesatkinsfishing Thanks for the tips ! But, I just want to be sure I understood correctly: - for Power kit (for big carp 10kg+ ) the max would be Slyk Hybrid red 18-20 (2.4mm) ? Isn't this too thick, as the Power kit seems to be rated ESR 18 ? .. I wouldn't want to break my Power kit or something ... just asking ... 😀 - and for Match Kit (which seems to be rated as ESR 12) ?
Thank you Jamie, i was going to get the new 4,000 horizon reel for my pellet waggler set up, but i think that £200 is a bit to much, so will be staying as is, Thank you Matrix
Great insight to design.
Well done jamie

Tbh honest I had the last horizon reels in 3/4000 sizes I didn’t like them and bought TDRs so very much better I’d never swap back
Good development shit at getting it in shops at launch we get them 2/3 months later

@@advl4200 i use 14 16 for 10lb+ with the power 1 13metter, but bigger i use the 18 20, but for bigger 20+ carp as you said i would use a rod 🤔🤔
Guru feeders
Nothing New same for all leading brands.
Not much development needed on the open end feeder just a copy of the guru one
