Alastair being all frustrated and worked up about the whole separate room situation is the cutest thing ever. With that said, I also understand where Zach is coming from as someone who suffers insomnia constantly. I hope you guys find the perfect solution for your dilemma without hurting your relationship.
Alastair might want to consider getting an evaluation done if his snoring has gotten bad. It could be a sign of sleep apnea that can hinder the recovery process of sleep.
"I'm sorry I love you" Pure gold. On a serious note, if it's become more acute, Alastair should look into it with a health professional. Sudden changes, even if a year on, in someone's breathing can be a sign of something more serious. It's good that you both have a sense of humour about it, speaks to the love you both have, but it's worth checking into.
There are lots of apps that can record you when you start snoring. You can determine how long and how often you snore. Getting a sleep study is a great idea. I have done it and diagnosed my narcolepsy. Apnea is very serious as well. Knowing might be in your best health interests.
I think you should check in to get a sleep test. I had to for my husband and found out I have sleep apnea. Much better now with my CPAP machine. Saved us from sleeping separately.
The sad thing about Candace Cameron Bure statement and the backlash which followed is that it had reached the target demographic who had a blast mocking and turning queer people to ridicule over this and saying that they have now a new channel to watch. So basically it gave this channel great publicity.
My parents had the same problem not being able to sleep next to someone who snores. My mom would snore so bad. So my dad ended up going to sleep first then an hour later my mom would so he could be asleep and not hear her snore.
Bill Abbott who runs and is an owner of Great American Family was formerly CEO of Crown Media (Hallmark Channel) resigned in 2020 because Hallmark had to apologize for removing ads featuring a lesbian couple and restoring the ads a few days later. I agree with you Zac. My partner and I have been together (and shared a bed) for over 25 years. Fortunately, he doesn't snore. But, I often go into the guest bedroom because I always have a better sleep when I'm on my own. Like Alastair, my partner would get a little sensitive if I suggested having separate bedrooms permanently. Some studies show that sleeping separately can be the key to a happy relationship.
I sooo relate to the snoring problem!! My husband's snoring is awful also and I end up elsewhere in the house many times!! I also have put Candace Cameron Bure on my 'do not support' list. You can't claim love for all, yet exclude groups of people. As for being shredded for my comments...I commented on a story on the ClubQ attack and I got RIPPED APART from all the haters...I pulled down my comment to stop the harassment...truly awful event and situation.
I will say as someone who works in the banking industry the first six digits of a credit card at most identifies that the card belongs to Capital One, etc so, on its own, it would do little to actually prevent bots from getting on those "priority" lists.
Alastair please go to an ENT doctor to get checked for a deviated septum or a referral for a sleep study. I'm an Air Force veteran and the VA did a surgery for my deviated septum and I no longer snore.
I understand separate bedrooms VERY WELL! My throat is busted in a way that i snore REALLY loud. Actually so loud that i have never met anybody who can sleep in the same room than me. My ex and i had separate bedrooms BUT we took few nights now and then to sleep together in same bed, but on days when both needed sleep (work, school, etc.) separate bedrooms were just blessing for both.
Alastair, you have great health care by being in the military. Sleep apnea can be dangerous. Please get it checked out. Zach had mentioned in a vlog quite some time ago that he would love to have his own space in a bedroom just for him. Your marriage seems strong so separate bedrooms won't cause any serious issues in your relationship.
I snord and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Chaps worked for a while, but I'd pull the mask off in my sleep. I retired, stress level dropped, apnea and snoring went away. Can be difficult but decrease your stress and the snoring should decrease. Good show guys. Thanks
My husband and I have been together for 23 years and we have slept in separate beds for 4 years. I cannot sleep, even with ear plugs, due to extreme snoring. The important thing is to maintain intimacy and togetherness outside of sleeping time. Do you know what’s sexy? Sleep!!! 😂 As long as y’all decide together what is best for both of you, there is no wrong way to sleep, or not, with your partner. ❤
As someone who was married for longer than you two have been alive (put together), there is a vital marital closeness you get when sleeping in the same bed - especially over time. There is a loss of vital marital closeness when you wind up creating your own world in your own bedroom - especially over time. This is so critical to understand while you are still young. Whatever the problem is, work it out now because you two are SO worth it!
I know people that have been married for years and sleep in separate bedrooms cuase we all have our own comfortability and it doesn’t always match. Maybe for you that separate ness causes problems but it’s not for everyone. Everyone has their own way and no one persons way is the right way.
@@buffy17mike Well said from another standpoint. I guess it boils down to whether one of the parties has a problem with sleeping in another bedroom alone.

My father snored loudly and I can remember being able to hear him in my bedroom from my parents’ bedroom down the hall. Sleeping in separate rooms does not necessarily mean a lack of love and affection, of course. And thank you for the words at the end about the mass shooting in Colorado Springs. You are correct that it is, at least in part, due to the hateful rhetoric that comes out of some people on the right. For them, staying in power is much more important than other people’s lives.
It is weird that Joss Whedon would state that his mom was his hero and he respects women and then act the way he allegedly did to Charisma Carpenter and others on set.
My loved one was a pretty loud snorer too. And he loved to put his leg over mine. Overtime I'm used to his snoring. Long story short he felt sick, recovered and suddenly just stopped snoring. But alas the sickness back. He succumbed to his sickness and passed away not long before that. Moral of the story be careful what you wish for.

I have recorded both myself & my husband snoring over the years. We have diagnosed sleep apnea BUT it doesn’t occur forever. These things change from time of year, from the weather, from weight changes… it is something that you will both get used to. Really 🙏🏽 Zach, you will get used to it faster than you think. 👍🏽 In all honesty, I feel more for Alastair since he has to deal with Zach’s very active sleeping motions. 🤷🏽♂️ Just saying.
Academy Award winning actress Sally Field believes that it's unnatural for two people to sleep in the same bed. So, you have good company, Zach.(I'm with you on that too.) Also, get a sleep test, Alastair.
I think it’s a smart idea for Zachary. It’s not uncommon and it’s becoming more popular for married couples are doing this. I see nothing wrong with it!
I'll echo the others that say Alastair should see a doctor. The last thing I want to do is come on here some time and see Zach tearfully announcing Alastair died in his sleep. As someone who only really came to terms with his sexuality 18 months ago, still closeted but embracing who I am at 59, it never really dawned on me that the guy who killed the people in Club Q wanted to kill people like me. He wanted to kill me. Sobering but also incredibly difficult to understand. Sometimes the world is more than one can handle.
My husband claims that I snore. I’m ok sleeping in the spare room if his snoring keeps me awake. If my snoring keeps him awake cause I got the dog and cat in my arms laying on my back then he can sleep in the spare room.
Alistair and Zach hi snoring has to do with sleep Apnea and is a serious condition. It can lead to heart condition. I got tested positive for apnea in my thirties when got older.
I know you were holding your breath saying where’s Brads feed back lol. The joys of marriage and sharing a life with someone. Lots of comments I used a cpap for awhile but not now. Alastair u are young and fit just get it checked out, just in case. Personally I feel take away the snoring a king size bed gives a fair bit of personal space. One thing I always loved was those evenings where even in a king bed my partner and I at that time would occasionally find each other and there would be non planned intimacy, I loved that. I think that’s true of those moments u just chat about something of interest very intimate. I am always impressed with your conversations and how you represent your thoughts on issues. I just read an article saying genx and younger are losing the religious interest in Christmas but more interested in it as a festival (which is how it started historically). You will not read anything about Dec 25 or Christmas in the Bible because winter solstice was a pagan celebration. But even Romans celebrated solstice. The shooting hmmm, there always seems to be someone picking on someone not sure the ultimate answer to acceptance of and for all. Good luck you didn’t say if you ended up getting tickets. Love you gentlemen, always wishing and hoping the best for you guys.
As an insomniac who lived and slept with a snorer for many years, I feel your pain Zach. Alastair definitely needs a sleep study, but meanwhile you might try an adjustable bed frame that will raise his side of the mattress a few inches. This will work without a split mattress. You can also buy soft padded Bluetooth earphones for yourself. Sleeping alone is a luxury you don’t want every night! 😺✌️
I usually watch your episodes late at night, and your banter about sleeping really hit home, it was hilarious to be honest, I am on the Alastair team to the max, my husband says I was snoring so loud he can't sleep, to help with this I will Stat up till 200am, daily. He goes to bed at 1000pm, so he gets a good four hours. If this didn't work I was going to recommend separate bedrooms, but it must be working, we've slept in the same bed for 43 years this January, so I wish you guys the best on working this out.anywho take care guys, not a taylor swift fan, as the sissy spacek lorretta Lynn character in coal miner's daughter. " I just can't ".....
Alastair sounds like he is in the beginning stages of sleep apnea. I highly recommend he go to the doctor he could have a heart attack in his sleep. Even at his young age. I have had sleep apnea for over a decade and I recognize it from your description of him, taking a deep breath, and then lapsing into snoring. My husband and I sleep in separate rooms he snores very badly and uses O2 at night it’s very loud.
We, the 60 /70/80+'ers, experienced this same hate. Personally, it was my 17th active duty when the "Normals" labeled gays' as mad dogs in society and charged thousands as child molesters, and worse, too many were murdered just for standing up for Human Rights. As hard as it is to face the remerging hate, we, the "Gifted," must realize it is the devil who leads the masses of "so-called" Christians. Jesus Christ never had a word to say against gays or any other diverse human being; that is a True Christian. So don't give up on God; it is the Devil who promotes this hate. The two of you are stars of this generation. Please do not give up. (Alister, go to the Doctor, it's free.)
While the promo is on... Zach give early The Crown a try. The acting totally sucked me in. I'm not a T. Swift fan. I can't get through a whole song. Still, I am glued to this video. You two are excellent. One of my dear friends is terrified that her trans teen is going to be killed either by a psycho or by a health care law, and she's fighting like hell for him. Every time you guys and folks in your community speak, you are building support for parents like her.
great episode you two....bravo for the Co.shooting comments, the crazies are out there , we will always be "other"... be aware, loved your comments zach - there is a new homophobic backlash brewing
I feel like if I were married I'd actually want separate rooms from the get-go. Sometimes you just need your own space, married or not. Half the time you sleep over with each other, half the time you don't. I think it's the insistence on being tied at the hip that actually makes marriages break down more than they should. Societal norms sometimes make people think their relationship has to function one way only. On the other hand if a spouse finds that they can't sleep without their partner next to them then there's probably a lot to unpack in a seemingly small issue.
You both should consider asking your doctor to refer you for a sleep study. Snoring and sleep disorders are health concerns. Also, I hate sleeping with other humans. I can't get good sleep at all. Being in bed with them until they fall is nice, and being in the same room is okay, but the same bed, no never again.
I use a C-PAP but fellas the need for a C-PAP isn’t always related to all things cardiovascular. You’re young & so it is more likely that the issue is maxillofacial or positional. Your complaint may be more in the domain of your dentist 🦷 than your cardiologist ❤! But other viewers are correct that the answers lie in a sleep therapist’s observations. Just remember that oxygen is life!🥵
Alistair should get checked. The snoring may indicate a more serious problem, including heart. May need a CPAP Machine . Testing is pretty simple. Goid luck guys!enjoyed this!!
Sorry for the double comment, but geez I personally don't think people should be so forward about commenting like, negative sleeping comments on your guys relationship lol. Anyway, good show.
Never mind Coffee, this is TEA & Tequila. Alastair's snoring has most likely increased due to a side effect of his anxiety meds and causes Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. As for having an auxiliary bed for you to go to, it makes absolute sense! Also having a foot fetish is a lot more common than people think and I wish people wouldn't be so embarrassed by it. Glad I'm not a Swifty as I'd be livid with the fuckery that went on with TM.
I love y'all more than you'll ever know. First y'all have no Idea of what it's been like for people my age, I'll be 59 in January, and older. Secondly noticed people your age always seem to broad brush everyone in the same category of a madman. On person doing something horrible doesn't mean every far right wants to kill the gays! There have always been 4 thousand years of recorded history " mad people" who do awful things and always will be. And one of those things is going to be the gay phobia by certain people. "Judge not less you be judged " Everyone is never going to agree on everything but if you guys could see what Ive seen, We've come light years in my lifetime, Y'all are married for heaven sakes! People need to celebrate how far society has come as a whole and not keep condemning everyone who's thoughts are different just because of the acts of a few. I do love you guys so much but I don't always agree with your politics but I was raised to "agree to disagree."
I respectfully agree and disagree. I agree wholeheartedly about how far society has come, overall. I'm 67, and being a gay teen in Texas, legal gay marriage was such a piece of fiction as to be scoffed and scorned. But here we are. I still have a hard time believing it's real. I also agree with not every far right wants to kill the gays. I've a few friends who are diehard, absolute Trumpers. We've tacitly agreed to not talk politics at all. We talk about "common ground" stuff: camping, photography, the new bistro that recently opened. They know I'm gay, I know they're not. But it's not an issue for any of us. However, there are certain cultures, tribes, however they could be labeled, that are conducive to fostering an environment allowing the "mad people" to flourish, and promoting their flourishment. (I'm not sure that's a real word, but work with me here.) The Springs is one of those places. When I was there, it hosted Ft. Carson, NORAD, SPADOC, Petersen AFB. The Focus On The Family campus had its own exit off the freeway. HTH-ers (Holier-Than-Thou) as we called them, ran the show with an iron fist. Obviously things have progressed, since the bar wasn't burned down the second night it was open. Where I'm going with this is that "mad people" don't just materialize from thin air. There has to be an environment that encourages their "madness". The Springs, like so many million other places on this dizzy planet, is one of those places.

Really 🙏🏽 Zach, you will get used to it faster than you think. 👍🏽 In all honesty, I feel more for Alastair since he has to deal with Zach’s very active sleeping motions. 🤷🏽♂️ Just saying.
Speaking of meeting heroes (@0:48), I would think that meeting JJ Watt would NOT be disappointing 🤔😝
I had to get a cpap because of my snoring. It resolved a lot of issues with my partner and I sleep much better.
You should call the fuc.ery episode "What burns our Beans" about....
Pearl Jam and String Cheese Incident are Both Gr8 bands to see… I Love them both… 👊🏼💯💙
Alistair and Zach hi snoring has to do with sleep Apnea and is a serious condition. It can lead to heart condition. I got tested positive for apnea in my thirties when got older.
The iPhone will record snoring with sound.
I truly love both you guys
I just can't stop thinking. If you stop sleeping together relationship may fail.
I don't want to see that happen
Zac also needs to seek help for his insomnia. Chronic insomnia is a symptom of bi-polar depression.
Sister Wives 😂😂😂😂 Just get the nasal strips ❤❤❤❤
Fuckery of the week… I loved it… I love y’all so much… seriously… you honestly make my days awesome so thank you. ❤
Have you tried snore eaze, its a spray that really works.
😺✌️
Afterthought:
Who does Brando sleep with??
Ha, cute talk about the bed situation lol.
Every time you guys and folks in your community speak, you are building support for parents like her.
great episode you two....bravo for the Co.shooting comments, the crazies are out there , we will always be
"other"... be aware, loved your comments zach - there is a new homophobic backlash brewing
Don't sleep in separate beds that's a Bad idea
Being in bed with them until they fall is nice, and being in the same room is okay, but the same bed, no never again.
get Breath-Strips they work.problem solved.
It's such a taboo and I don't know why. You should do a show on #FootFetish
Just remember that oxygen is life!🥵
I personally prefer to not share a bed, however, the symptoms you are describing sound like Alister should be tested for sleep apnea.
I want a sticker of coffee and tequila how do I get one,
When I’m married I want my own house
Can Zach start doing these shows with his shirt off?
Her fans deserve to get scammed. Sorry bout it.
Alistair should get checked. The snoring may indicate a more serious problem, including heart. May need a CPAP Machine . Testing is pretty simple. Goid luck guys!enjoyed this!!
Lmao! I swear you 2 are the cutest couple in the world!!!
It’s might be sleep apnea
Zack don’t quote The Hill. THE HILL sucks!
Zack have you tried remron
Works wonders for sleep!!!
Alistair INSPIRE solved the snoring problem for me.
Hi
Next time y’all goto the shooting range pick up extra ear plugs…. Or… Hop your happy Arses to Wally World and buy some ear plugs… Issue Solved…. 👊🏼💯💙😜
