After one of his clinics at the drummer meeting in Koblenz, in which Steve Gadd was also present - I was the "Taxi driver" for Steve Gadd the next day to get to the airport. All he talked about was René and Wim ...
Rene is a great Dutch drummer, i like his thoughtfullnes in playing the instrument(s). He once recommended ; Stick control to me (by G. L Stone) as being 1 of the most important drumbooks of all time and i want to thank him for that.
Just got 16 17 18 Masters Dark Crashes 8 & 10 Dark Splash and 22 Extra Dry Ride. And he's absolutely right, sometimes I get a new pAisTe and it takes a few days/Weeks before I fall in Love with it.
Does anyone know what type of Paiste Cymbals he uses on the first, higher tuned Sonor Set ? O.k., the Swish Cymbal is from the Masters Series, the Hi-Hat from the 602 Series. The Crash Cymbal is a Paiste Masters, too.....but what model ? And what series is the Ride Cymbal ( the one next to the Swish ) from ? I'd really appriciate if someone could give me some hints/infos. Greetings✌🏽
@@clever8088 I'm not so sure about that. On the 2nd Set, the Sonor 22three that's tuned lower,... yes, he uses the crash and ride you mentioned..... but on the first set... when I read this correctly...it says " Prototype " on the Ride Cymbal. The Rest of the Printings can be identified as the Twenty Masters Sign.
What came first? The most creative coolest drummers in the world or Sonor drums? And why are they always together? Dang man I had a Sonor Phonic Beech kit from the 60's when I was playing in bands in the 70's-90's. Then I sold it like a complete moron. Let this be a lesson to y'all... NEVER sell a Sonor kit and NEVER EVER get married... I mean give up on your dreams. (Same thing really)
