    I used to buy referrals in exchange for free potatoes peepers after my presentation.
    It felt aggressive and dirty because I didn't value or believe in the product I was selling. I had some success but had to quite after just 2 short months.

      "Aggressive and dirty" are words I've heard hundreds of times from my student. The shame your describing is the exact shame I used to feel when I was a producer. It's because of that shame that I create my content. To teach others how to be purveyors of advice, entrepreneurial advisors and business operators. Not financial sales people.
