This time we went camping near the river.
It's winter, so all the rivers are frozen.
I fell several times while camping on the ice.
The weather has warmed up since morning.
It looks like the ice will break soon.
I had to go home before I fell into the river. :)

I shall never have (maybe) such experience seeing the iced river so thick. I had once in China, only 5mm ice thick with 5 degrees celcius. Anyway, I enjoy to see your trip. Good luck.

For sure that processing all those gears is a big advantage, but the real survival skill is to replace them with anything you may find in a bush. But the organization is perfect, and to have such experience you will feel close the nature, ... life, and get ready for contingency.
