Finally someone with brains that takes chances! Great job! I will for sure be trying this, have you purchased any tapered tumblers? If so I would love to see a video on those.
I agree with other comments that you are brilliant. Have watched so many videos on rotating the tumbler a few times and then turning it upside down, but after watching your video--mind blown! I also love the your design on this tumbler. I keep checking back to see if you have found something other than the makeup bag to fill the space and still transfer heat....but I guess if it ain't broke, right? Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you. This is awesome. I was watching a video this morning and wondering if shrink wrap would work like you showed! Gonna get some to try as I already have the tumblers!
Will this method work without shrink wrap? I definitely want to try but don't have any shrink wrap at the moment and my tumblers just arrived! Thank you for sharing this video!
That was awesome. 2 things. Where'd you get the beautiful water color for the mug and do you think just a regular mug press would work as well? Did you do 3 minutes per side. That's 3 questions :)
This specific method was so much better . I did see several videos of the tumblers being made with them being move around every 30 seconds or a minute and a half. I was like why do that when the mug press heats the design for 5-6 minutes for a full mug. So when doing a small tumbler all together the heat time should roughly be around. 12mins , but maybe depending on the depth of saturation of color/design it could take longer. I am new to all if this and just learning from watching tons of videos on this.
I’m definitely going to try this! One question….the mug press has a gap for the handle, i was thinking the rotation had something to do with that. No? The heat was able to get all around your tumbler? 😊 thank you!
Ok thx for the video but this might be a stupid question but im watching waiting for my cricut press to be delivered it should be here in the nxt few hours and I want to use asap now was the tumbler u used sublimation already?? Cuz u put the wrap over it and I have no idea I got wraps I got alot of sublimation mugs already but I want to know how to use the sublimation wraps and im not sure if that's what ur showing us ,cuz I saw a video were people put in the press something smaller lk u did but they just used a piece of cardboard box and it made it tight and perfect ..
I have a question about silicone. If I wanted to wrap with a silicone pad, like a trivet, would that possibly prevent heat from going through thus not fully transferring the design to the cup? I don't have any shrink wrap as of yet and want to be sure I have enough pressure applied.
Thank you for sharing! So do you recommend getting the Cricut Mug press if you're making mugs and tumblers versus a convection oven? I'm still trying to decide which to get.
I watched a video showing 5 mistakes & they said the heat stops just a little above the mug. So the 30oz doesn’t heat high enough to get the middle. Another great tip they shared is use a silicone trivet cut up to tighten your cup.
I tried your method and my 20 oz tumbler stayed cold around the top and it only sublimated right where the pad touches the metal. Did you use an insulated, double wall tumbler? Literally, my tumbler was room temp the top half.
@@JamelaPayne what program do you use to create and print these. In trying to resize my wrap and for the life of me, I can't and they aren't wide enough
Thank you for saving us all extra work by not having to rotate it in every direction! Beautiful tumbler too.
Wow that is soooo gorgeous. I didn’t want a Mug Press till I saw your tumbler.
Wow! You did good! So many have tried and failed!
I only ruined 1. So only a lil trial and error.
🤯🤯Nice!! Thank you for sharing!! I was fighting so hard to get a mug press! I guess I must get one now 🤪🤷🏽♀️😆
Thanks for trying this method. I was wondering the same thing about the shrink wrap. Awesome
I have a 30oz I’m gonna do soon.
Same! So happy I found your video :) Thank you.
Finally someone with brains that takes chances! Great job! I will for sure be trying this, have you purchased any tapered tumblers? If so I would love to see a video on those.
I think I have 1. I’ll check and see if I can push out a video.
@@JamelaPayne Thank you I will keep an eye out for it :)
The tumbler is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing😊
Thank you!
Gorgeous cup!! Ty for posting!!
How did you get the images to print full page?

I’m testing and trying out some other things. I’ve wasted so many tumblers with my testing tho lol. So far just the makeup bag.
Great job! Thanks for sharing your sublimation hack.
Thank you.
Thank you. This is awesome. I was watching a video this morning and wondering if shrink wrap would work like you showed! Gonna get some to try as I already have the tumblers!
Awesome! Glad I could help!
That's beautiful!
Thank you!
I am doing my first tumbler, what time and temp did you use ? I am just a little nervous to do it. Took me a while to just get the image I wanted.
Good idea with the extra padding on the sides! I might try that, but long ways so I don't have to adjust anything😁 thanks for sharing!!!
THIS WAS SUPER HELPFUL THANK YOU
You are brilliant!!!
Thank you!
I used heat resistant pad that we got at Home Depot and wrapped it around the mug and it worked. maybe that will help you
Do you happen to have the weblink to the one you bought?
Will this method work without shrink wrap? I definitely want to try but don't have any shrink wrap at the moment and my tumblers just arrived! Thank you for sharing this video!
I’m not sure. I am going to try it soon tho, I got some shrink wrap that I hate. Not what I used in this video.
@@JamelaPayne ok thanks! I think I'm going to try it anyway! I'm too excited about these tumblers. I have never subbed tumblers before.
The rubber walls inside get hot too. I just checked. So heat comes from the rubber walls AND the metal plate at the bottom. 🥰
Wow, that is beautiful. I LOVE it
Thank you so much!
Love the video.....what kind of paper did you use?
Koala
It’s gorgeous 😀
Thank you boo!
That was awesome. 2 things. Where'd you get the beautiful water color for the mug and do you think just a regular mug press would work as well? Did you do 3 minutes per side. That's 3 questions :)
The watercolor is from Adobe Stock, and ya I’m sure a regular press would work too. I’m not sure on time, I lied the cricut mug press do it’s thing.
Really like this video!
Thank you!

Yes, the way I did it it covered the whole thing.
Thank you this was very helpful!

You can use cardboard too. The material I used made it so I didn’t have to keep turning it.
Nice!
Hello that is a beautiful tumbler. Can you tell what font that is?
It’s called fabulous.
Loved the video! I'm new to sublimation so I just have a quick question did you have to prep your tumbler before you used it?
I just made sure it was clean. That’s it.
So I see everyone has a small convection oven. Can I use my regular sized convection oven to put the tumblers in?
I have a question about silicone. If I wanted to wrap with a silicone pad, like a trivet, would that possibly prevent heat from going through thus not fully transferring the design to the cup? I don't have any shrink wrap as of yet and want to be sure I have enough pressure applied.
I’m not sure. I just got a silicone wrap to try out. It’s used in baking for even cooking but I’m not sure how it’ll work with the mug press yet.
Thank you for sharing! So do you recommend getting the Cricut Mug press if you're making mugs and tumblers versus a convection oven? I'm still trying to decide which to get.
I’ve never used a convection oven for them. If I were choosing I’d go mug press, imo it’s a lil easier to store.
@@JamelaPayne Thank you
No problem
I love the design! Do you mind me asking where you got it?
I made it.
Can these tumblers go in the dishwasher after sublimation and how long do they stay pretty?🙏
I put mine in the dishwasher all the time. The process of sublimation should last the life of the item that is sublimated on usually.
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. Can you link to your shrink wraps you bought from Etsy? Also, your heat gun too. 😃 thanks!
How about an iron with the same thing in between if you dont have a mug press?? It would take more time but hey
I doubt you’d get an even press with an iron.
Do you think it would it work for a 30oz tumbler as well?
Also, do you think it would it work for a full color wrap as well?
I have 1 coming so I can test it out and I am doing a full wrap today! Video later this week.
I watched a video showing 5 mistakes & they said the heat stops just a little above the mug. So the 30oz doesn’t heat high enough to get the middle. Another great tip they shared is use a silicone trivet cut up to tighten your cup.
@@JamelaPayne Hi there again :) did you ever get the 30oz and did it work? I don't see a video.
I did, it was a fail, but I still posted the video.
@@JamelaPayne Well darn.. good to know though! Thank you
Hi. !! How are you?!! How long did you let it stay each time?
Just let it go till my press beeped.
Just let it go till my press beeped.
Ok thanks. One more questions. How do I stop those lines from being on tumbler ..
You did an amazing job! I love everything about this video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the amazing products!
Yes now there are silicone mats to help fill in and wrap
Can I ask where you get the watercolor background? It’s very pretty!
It was an Adobe stock image
How long did you press for
The mug press doesn’t have a timeer. I just let it complete the time.
Hi What’s the measurements for the paper so it covers the full tumbler with extra to cut off?
The cosmetic bag is for sublimation or is regular thank you
It’s a cricut brand Infusible ink bag.
Thank you! 😊
how did you create the design and add name? im having trouble printing from design space and dont understand how people are doing it.
She used photoshop. You cN use Inscape. There is a free version.
What is the shrink wrap for?
To hold the design tight and in place.
@@JamelaPayne aha, I see. Thanks 😊
I tried your method and my 20 oz tumbler stayed cold around the top and it only sublimated right where the pad touches the metal. Did you use an insulated, double wall tumbler? Literally, my tumbler was room temp the top half.
Hmmm, no my tumbler isn’t double walled.
Beautiful! What font is the name in? TIA!
It’s called fabulous
Hi i.m trying to do a tumbler but i cant get my image to wrap the tumbler how do i create on cricut deaign space
You can’t in design space, you can only do 9.25x6.75 in DS. It won’t print large enough.
@@JamelaPayne what program do you use to create and print these. In trying to resize my wrap and for the life of me, I can't and they aren't wide enough
What font is this?
Hi what program are you using to print out
Photoshop
You didn't explain the temperature is it low medium or high and how many seconds
The Cricut mug press doesn’t have temperature settings. You put it in and let it “cook”
what are the measurements and time
I just saw on another video where you can use cardboard to wrap around the mug as the last step. 😉
Hi, what font are you using?
It’s fabulous
Why the shrink wrap?
Beautiful 😍tfs
Thank you! What’s tfs? Lol
To care for these you would just have to hand wash it right?
Nope! This is actually top rack dishwasher safe.
U mirror the word?
Hey what's the measurement
Measurement for what?
Thank you!
