Machine #4, you said it was a “problem”... always remember and never forget, there are never problems, only solutions. I never say I have a problem, I only have solutions to screwed up situations.👍
Great video, thanks Chris! Awesome footage from different angles and comentary to help understand what the plan is and what is happening. Thanks for the effort and hard work!
The way Chris explains what he’s doing and the reason why he’s doing it is the reason why I like his channel so much, he keeps it interesting. I’ve watched other channels similar to his and they hardly ever speak. They get boring and I usually won’t watch anymore of their videos. I found his channel by chance a few years ago and I watch his videos every day. That’s another big reason why I like his channel, he uploads a new video almost every day.
From watching your videos, I think you are one of the best operators of excavation machines I’ve ever seen, but you don’t seem to be too happy with your help and you seem to be a little sad, also, you work alone a lot and work in many isolated places, that’s not good or safe for you, it’s like hiking alone, not a good idea, as one could get hurt or have a health emergency and no body is there to help you-- I’m an older foreman of a crew that put new utilities in mobile home parks, my favorite was new sewer lines and water, along with fire hydrants--God Bless you
Chris impresses me. At his young age I'll bet he has forgotten more about operating equipment than most men ever know! Very impressive and always good video!
Chris you define the difference between a operator and a manager! Operators run equipment. Manager has the experience to deal with the ever changing situations. Also agree with a previous post that you explaining what your doing keeps the content much more interesting.

Hi Chris. You have your work cut out for you .looks nice sir. Good job on getting the road all nicely done😀.all the equippment there what ya need.nice job site too.happy Working Chris and stay safe😀
Chris is a one man band most of the time ! lol 😂 I just see how you do it sometimes! 👍🏻 looks like a good pond for some wood ducks and the tall grass would be a good place for a blind! 👍🏻
Yeah, I was thinking that Chris really needs to see someone about that addiction he has ... to fixing ponds. The image in my mind was Chris' brain jumping up and down chanting pond pond pond pond like a lab with a stick to chase.
@@jaquigreenlees LOL...I was thinking the same thing......Chris had the "horse blinders" on for that part of the road. Truthfully, I think we all were looking for a pond :) on this job.

Question from someone who knows nothing about digging and moving dirt: why do you park the haul truck with the tipper vertical? I assume it has something to do with allowing the remnants of what was in it to dry out and fall off? Doesn't this have a negative effect on the hydraulic rams holding the tipper up?
it probably stops water pooling in it and finding ways to rust anything out. Equally if it’s cold enough expansion and contraction of any ice formed in any weak spots can create bigger holes
The tipper sticking up in the air means it's easier to find in the morning. Ever lose your car in a car park? It's like that, only with heavy equipment.
I've heard a variety of answers but most have said its for drainage. I work for the county and we are forbidden from leaving our box up in the air like that as it could come down on someone. We have to render all of our hydraulics in a safe status so no one can get hurt. I've never ran one of those haul trucks so I don't know if they have the same risks of coming down as our dump trucks do. I do know that when we park our shoulder mowers, the mower deck will tilt down and be on the ground by the next day. So hydraulics releasing is a real thing.
In a previous video you said you asked the manufacturer to make some modifications....in the skilled hands of an experienced operator....you make the thumb and bucket combination look easy! Maybe time to patent that set up?
You can come to my place and fetch some semi loads of ceramic blue clay for free. Haha You probably know about Upsala Ekeby and Steninge Keramik. Have a nice day fellow Swede!
Man you will drive that machine off into anywhere... There could have been a big ol sink hole in there. I am sure the ducks and beavers and a few tadpoles appreciate your bravery and will thank you.
Yeah, I love that awesome truck. Love the sound of it's engine. That deep growl of power ! As soon as I saw that "pond", more of as wamp, I knew Chris would do a lil' clean up, more to his standards ! BTW, with all the cavalry out for him to run, he must long for Timmy ! Sad. No valuable candidate found yet ?? PS One of your best videos, Chris ! Really !
A man who knows how to build a road - get the road above the water, protect the in situ material and get the water off the road. Very nice work.

That's a neat little pond, kind of hidden in the corner of the woods.
And yes, pretty red dirt.
Thanks, and Woof to Winston and the other dogs.
Dig that little pond out to about 15' so she'll hold some big ole Catfish !!

You're right there, Chris. A starter motor works much better when it is powered.
That little dozer just keeps on keeping on!
Evey your capabilities. I know, lots of years of experience goes a long way, but ya got to be a good site thinker, that's impressive.

If Chris left the borrow pit open over night he could possibly find Sasquatch trapped into it next morning! LOL
So much mud! It seems that water barrier type dirt keeps popping up on various jobs.
Good stuff as always, Might help if the switch is turned on, Appreiciate the honesty of showing screw-ups.
Very well done .great vid on top of that .godbless
I just realized I'm biting my teeth together hard when seeing you grab some bigger bunches with the thumb, Chris. My dentist will love it! Haha
every time I watch you use the 160 it reminds me of the Wolverine guy, the way that thumb snaps those trees like match sticks
What a muddy whole, looks great though, can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. Have a fantastic day tmrw chris
Chris, if you dig deep enough that clay may change into a very course sand it is asphalt sand or traction sand aka red gold.
Chris has a lot of patience and good planning ...

Good videos keep them coming.
at 7:50 it kinda sounds like the old dump truck as a miss again in her..
I made the same comment in the next video.
I'm so proud of me. I just figured out that the dirt that is less prone to being moved by water is at the upper elevations.
5 or 6 videos in one. Also, we now all know what good clay looks like.
Nice work Chris 🇺🇲
Thanks for the video Chris, that’s the fastest pond job I’ve seen you do. 👏👏👏👏👍🇬🇧🍺
at least you tell everyone what you are doing compared to the others that I've watched they don't even speak at all
I cheated on Chris once and watched one of AJ's videos. I haven't watched anyone else's videos again. 🙂
I like that he talks too but I have to admit that some of the other guys that don't talk also do some nice work too.
Looks like a perfect pond to make 15ft deep and make it a Catfish pond !
Please show the dozer cabin like as excavator when working with dozer. Tnx a lot for nice video
I love Komatsu
Looks like marl you dug out to fill in with.
The one man Chris show.
Keep up the great work!!👍👍
question, when making the wood duck pond you werent concerned about infested with water moccasin snakes? you were certain in other marsh areas
Chris, I love these videos, I still think you should say, "Let's Dig" at the end of your opening explanation!👍
Corny.
Looking awesome Chris great work
Ah, the swamp diggers are back! Beware of wet shoes and snake bites. ;-)
Don't they make the buckets they had on steam shovels? It seems that type would be great for mud and ponds.
Chris making catfish housing. Be sure you dont squish them with the excavator!
I’m going to say that pond wasn’t on the job sheet, but you just couldn’t help yourself.....🤣

How deep we can dig generally in a borrow pit? Can we leave it open at site if we don't have any bad dirt to fill it back?🤔

Chris when you haul off stuff do you haul it to the big pond you cleaned up a little and they said you could bring stuff there a help fill it
You’re doing a really good
Thought that pond looked like prime snake habitat till you cleaned it up
❤️ your Videos ...This🍺🍺 for you! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾✌🏽

What's the banging noise on the dozer when you're up on top of the clay?
Sounds like the haul truck is missing again.
Yes i agree definitely 👍
Yea I heard that too.
"If the oil's low, you can use a longer dipstick...: lmao
Is this your favorite time of year to work?
Chris likes ducks and fishes, so he has to make a subdivision for them.

That is a lot of hardware in one place at one time! Damn.
In a previous video you said you asked the manufacturer to make some modifications....in the skilled hands of an experienced operator....you make the thumb and bucket combination look easy! Maybe time to patent that set up?
The one here is John's 250. Chris has a 220 with the modified boom goodies.
Splish splash i was playing the pond lol.
Will one key fit all the Volvo in the fleet?
Nice camera work, Chris!
Are the servicing periods for the Volvo A300 based upon engine hours ?
If the oil level gets low, pour some water down the dipstick hole. That will raise the oil up to the proper mark, and you are good to go......
Oil companies hate this one trick.
When you getting a new "Timmy " ?
Sometime after they discover they need one, I'm guessing.
..good one, stay safe and enjoy the day...
Hi Chris. Just wondering what time you aim to have the machines working in the morning. Is it a 7am or maybe 8am start.

I'm amazed the back left wheel is still going. Edit: Upon review, it looks like they replaced the ole' maypop tire.

Doubt it.
