Thank you for appreciating our dance presentation ...proud grade 12 teacher here from IHS ,BOHOL, PHILIPPINES...It is part of our Arts month culmination..
it all started with Physical Education class which is a curriculum requirements for all students in the Philippines pattern after US educational system. however, this PE class evolved from calisthenics exercises to dancing. don't be surprised if in the future you'll see high school senior class performing acrobatic stunts 🤣🤣🤣
Hello!✨Thank you for appreciating my posted video. I’m happy that you used it to show to people the strengths and talents we have in our school. Actually, the line dance presentation is presented by year level (Grade 7,8,10,11, and 12). That time we celebrated the Arts Month Culmination.🫶
In any high school here whether private or public there's always competition between different levels (freshmen, sophies. Jr's n Srs). There's intramural sports, choral, oratorical, singing and other contests. Everyone enjoys.
I’m now in my 70’s and we’ve done this at least once a year during our school’s foundation day. A mandatory dance demonstrations of all high school levels. We had the basic 4 year high school during my time & no Grade 12th and beyond 😅.
Almost school in Philippines before the class start in the morning from primary to high school we have this flag ceremony from praying ,singing national anthem ,swearing to the country, regional songs then the line dancing .. before class it’s a daily school affair at least 1 half to 2 hours …
Its a yearly event from elementary to high school. In our school its a competition between grade levels in high school, i can’t remember if its the same in elementary. It’s our extra curricular activity where we get additional points, if we join, but we are not force to do it, we have a choice. It is something that we enjoy doing, because we are given time to practice and be out of the classroom and be with other student from our level from a different section. I remember doing it in my freshman year wherein guys are separated from girls, so for our dance, our theme was hawaiian so we wore grass skirt and floral top and we dance to i think pearly shells. And for the boys its a pop song, well i can no longer remember the song and their props. But i can still remember some of our dances in our field demo. It was a very nice memory to remember when i was in elementary and high school.
No, its up to the teachers and principal of the school. They have different way of presentations at school specially if there is an occasion in their school❤
In my elementary school Every graduation From Kindergarten to Grade 5 they'll perform different dances performances while Grade 6 the graduates performs Graduation, A song for parents and a Prayersong
Yeah, it's part of MAPEH Subject in the past and now, I think it's modern arts or something like that, I just made it up but the point is, we have subjects where everyone dances. Also in the university, we have a PE subject where we just dance.
Its a part of school activities , it can be a presentation on a foundation of school or it can be during the asssembly time as a physical exercises before class.. It depends on every school in the Philippines. Its not mandatory.
Muchas gracias de las Islas de Filipinas. Su reaccion es en punto. La experiencias de los estudiantes aqui en nuestra pais son simple pero muy dificil a olvidar. I am now in my 60' s but I alwars go back to my high school memories everytime I feel lonely. That's when I start dancing and singing those steps and songs that we learned as teenagers.
It's part of the school curriculum and Mandatory for every students from elementary to highschool as part of Thier final exam with 2 subjects mainly Physical Education and GMRC good manners and right conduct or Character Education subject, presented during the School Foundation day or last day of school activity program which they also award Outstanding students and honor roll on each class...It's purpose is to develop kids to be physically and mentally healthy, enhance their social skills and emotional intelligence and as well for bonding moments with Students, Parents, Teachers and School Faculty and Administration in promoting good values and camaraderie among students, parents , teachers and school Faculty members and all school employees, we even have Intramurals wich we called school sports fest or school Olympics, we also have pagents like Mr and Ms. King and Queen Mr and Ms United nation ,as well as school talent show like got talent show sing dance, musical band, magic etc etc glee etc production shows extracurricular school active that would develop kids others talent that is useful in the real world aside from the Academic knowledge that they Aquire...School Events and Program or Farewell end of School/Acquaintance Celebration Party👍
I agree with you, that it should be mandatory in schools around the world... ... It should be integrated in all levels of the education curriculum. There's a sense of togetherness, happy, cheerful etc. Its something that would indulge their spirits and how to formulate togetherness and lasting friendships. It also helps take the stresses and frustrations off their minds. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 Dominica 🇩🇲
