- Hello again everybody & thank you for taking the time to check out the return of my Comic Book Collection Spotlight (CBCS) side series! Being a blogger who likes to blab about comics I use the CBCS series as a vehicle to blab about various topics within the medium that I wouldn't necessarily to cover within the conventional comic book haul format. Also considering that I've recently pumped the breaks on my monthly comic book purchasing volume & hence my monthly comic book haul, this allows me to continue to do something that I truly enjoy which is (you guessed it) blabbing about comics!
This month's topic is speculation, which imho is the main driving force for most of the back issue collecting in today's current climate. In this vid, I'll cover some of the reasons that I personally speculate & share some of the comics that I've been speculating on over the past several years. So strap yourselves in for the first installment of a trip down memory lane with the ghosts of specs past to bear witness to what lurks within my spec box: The good, the bad & the funny!!! All spec all the time! So true. And if someone is not into spec books, its like they gotta point it out themselves, lol! That Brian Bolland Interview with a Vampire cover is very intricate, the first issue has that sheen on the fur, the details are very elegant. Alot of those Ann Rice Vamp books have great covers, but the stories inside were paced kinda dull for me. Yo, are telling people you got multiple copies of Secret Wars II! LOL!! For shame, and yet Yes! Hasselhoff as The Beyonder, such a good call!
Hey, I heard the news say President is in China to discuss "the next pandemic", so h0ly fuk, we are going to have shut-downs, and digital passports to track interactions, and more job loss in a few years, I hope Bill Gates chokes on all the farmland he owns, so then will there be another surge in prices w/comics? Would they subsidize it again w/the extra benefits, so then comic book prices are going to jump when their pandemic re-occurs?

I quit speculating and buying new comics. Speculating is too stressful and new Marvel and DC comics are consistently awful art and stories. I purged my collection of 95% on comics from 1990 and forward. I was going to see Black Adam until I'm hearing one bad review after another from every I talk to that seen it.
Thanks for watching as always NC! I never roll the dice when it comes to 1$ scratch tickets, a total waste of time & money imho. I feel the polar opposite when it comes to 1$/cheap spec books lol! I still find it fun to find a book that I'm not necessarily attached to on the cheap to flip on the high later on to help pay for a book that actually want without having pay out of pocket. I hear you about the current monthly titles, my monthly pull list is down to 6 titles & 3 are minis. I look forward to your next comic fix!
