The fact that you and most other ppl would compete despite the cruel treatment is exactly why it’s wrong. Like that’s one of the points of Squid Game that Squirt Game the challenge ignores. The fact that capitalism is coercive because you need to back breaking labor to even survive is enough for ppl to endure horrible stuff in the small chance that they will win. Like all the bad stuff like malnutrition and all that is just completely unnecessary to create a game show. Like the premise of Squid game is that doing a game like that is really bad and capitalism is coercive and bad and Netflix ignored all that and took the premise as instruction. In my opinion the show shouldn’t exist.

Like yeah that would be cool too but while I was watching the dice mini-game in like one of the later episodes, I literally said I would be fine getting out there. I just think it would be fun to participate. Like I liked the old guy’s attitude- the one that won the candy bar when he was playing with mullet guy. He was just there to play some games and hang out. I think the chance to do all that is worth the bad stuff.
@@AJ-we8fl yeah I haven’t watched the show but I would probably also want to play too even though behind the scenes it would probably be miserable. I think it’s probably natural to feel that way about all game shows because it’s our like competitive nature or whatever else. I think the way they treated ppl on this show was unnecessary tho and most other game shows don’t resort to that level of cruelty. Especially because I heard like they were malnourished and now someone is suing for getting hypothermia and nerve damage…

I only watched it out of curiosity, and it wasn’t the most awful show I had ever seen. If anything, it was an interesting human behavioral experiment.
