    gosh I still remember the 2003 combined no hitter at the Yankees Stadium. Roy Oswalt started that game and got injured. Then 5 relievers combined 6~7 innings of no-hit balls. I believe there are some players on the filed did not know it was a no-hitter and got surprised by all the fuzz after the game.

    To think that Houston even had to deal with Alex Tosi making some pretty obvious bad calls near the bottom of the zone against them, and the players they were facing? I'm so glad I took the time to watch this one!

    diehard yankee fan here, gotta hand it to the astros really good performance by javier, i think this is definitely an interesting rivalry to watch and always produces something interesting (what if we all just decided to move past the cheating thing, and focus on the now)

    Outstanding for Astros and a historic game especially against the Bronx Bombers. I was blessed to see back in 2003 Stros no hit Yankees also, but it took 6 Pitchers. Today 3 Astros Pitchers did it. Amazing !! 😎👍

    What do the Astros do when Odorizzi and Lance come back especially they way the Astros starters are throwing now? A 6 man rotation and out Lance in the Pen to limit him when he comes back? And Javier was absolutely nasty today he’s been underrated this year.

      I think Lance has a shot to be in the bullpen at first. Odorizzi is more built up right now as a SP than Lance and can give us more reliable outings imo. Having LMC in the bullpen could be filthy going into the playoffs..then let him return to starting in 2023!

      Odorizzi and Urquidy can go to the bullpen. Everyone forgets how bad Odorizzi was until he had that good 4 game stretch before his injury. Those 4 games weren't against good teams.

    This is the team to defeat this year.
    Looking closely, they have a slim 5 games winning difference compared to the Yankees.
    They look more a “Championship” team to me than the Yankees. Way far beyond any doubt.

    Out of every team in the League, the Yankees are at the very bottom of teams I'd expect to get no-hit this year, along with the Astros, Mets, and Dodgers. But lo and behold, the Astros no-hit the Yankees. Javier had some beautifully nasty stuff, Neris actually wasn't streaky and inaccurate, and Pressley closed it out to cement the no-hitter.

    The astros are winning it all called it here first they only got better since last year I don't see them losing to anybody. The Yankees are the biggest threat to them
    But after seeing how they just dominate them easily at their own house 🏠 then I don't see anybody being able to overcome the astros experience.
    They have something money cant buy. The mentality of champions and knowing how to win it all.

      Yeah, he was. Naris was about to lose it on TWO missed calls.... So, he actually faced the most adversity in 1 inning than Javier did it any inning of that game. I'm just glad he got the key outs and preserved the no hitter, even with those 2 walks that the home plate umpire help enable.
