Is this similar to the way the IQD Rig presents under water?

Should be okay for Stillwater fishing over silt, might not do well river fishing.

No tungsten putty on the hook link?

A small blob of tungsten putty is a great addition to any carp rig to ensure the rig lays flat on the lake bed.

Hi I tried this with normal braid and I couldn’t get it through the back of the eye to finish.. is this the reason why Coated braid is better?

Hi Milwallfan06, it sounds like either your hook had a small eye or the braid your using was too thick? A coated braid would be better, just strip off a few inches of the outer coating before tying the rig. A coated braid will give you better presentation, plus have better anti tangle qualities.
