The Buddhist festival of Saka Dawa is one of its holiest and most revered days. The religious celebrations of Saka Dawa, which occur during the fourth month of the Buddhist calendar, reach their zenith on the 15th Lunar Day when there is a full moon.
Buddhists consider Saka Dawa to be an excellent period to accumulate merits and achieve enlightenment, purity, and spirituality. A unique feature of the meritorious month is that any good deed carried out throughout the month is multiplied by 100,000,000. better karma for good. Early teachings of sila (mortality), dana (generosity), and Bhavana (meditation) serve as the foundation for these meritorious practices.
