As a 20-year old aspiring tenor, he is my greatest living inspiration. A fantastic voice and also a really nice guy who loves his music which is how a musician should be rather than bitchy and mean like so many are. Literally look up to this guy so much.

I answered in German to the comment of GermanFrankie...I'll try to say the essential in English J.Kaufmann is a lyrico -spinto Tenor,so his voice can sound in the lower tones nearly as a Bariton,but he is a Tenor and his voice has rich tones ...and is wonderful,even if GermanFrankie doesn't like it...

Wenn sie so an seinen gesanglichen Fähigkeiten zweifeln warum schauen sie ihn sich dann überhaupt an bzw. hören ihm zu? Bekomme gerade einen Lachkrampf. Kenne mindestens 20 deutsche Tenöre, die besser singen! Außerdem ist er vom Timbre her kein Tenor, sondern ein Bariton!
