I'm mostly a silent watcher. I just want to say how nice Christopher is & I appreciate it. Your relationship is goals to me. Thank you for sharing. Love you guys. ❤
you should do a "trying camping recipes" video. a few that my family loves are: california egg crackle (basically scrambled eggs, crumbled bacon, and crushed cheesy ritz mixed together with shredded cheese) tinfoil dinner / tin can dinner (tinfoil is diced potato, kielbasa sausage slices, and onion and cheese in a tinfoil packet / tin can dinner is usually like a mini shepherd's pie in a tin can) spice cake oranges (you slice the top off of oranges, scoop out as much of the fruit as possible, and use all the juice as part of the liquid with your spice cake (either homemade dry mix or box mix) and then fill up your oranges with the mix; wrap in tinfoil and bake in the coals) and pigs in a blanket on roasting sticks over the fire :D
Rachel I highly recommend using a vegetable peeler (the y shape ones rather than the long pen style ones) to slice your cheese. Nice wide thin slices with ease!!
I think freezing cheese before coating and putting to any fryer is works better because cheese only warms up when coating gets crispy. I did that with mozzarella sticks and it worked for me 😊 20:20
I always love Chris’s LOTR shirts!! Anytime my roommate or I have potatoes we quote the same line. It’s one of the quotes that lives in my mind rent free
A tip for cutting cheese into thin slices. Put the cheese into the freezer for about 15-20 minutes. This helps the cheese firm up so that you can get thinner slices.
You can try a double boiler for your scrambled eggs. Metal bowl on top would be the simplest, but you can make do. They will cook more “softly” and give you creamier eggs, with butter and seasoning added. Delicious! Plus, you can make a big batch, if you have company
1:57 I will never understand how anyone gets around in life without an “osthyvel” (Norwegian invention used mostly in Scandinavia and it slices cheese absolutely perfectly in thin slices every time 👌🏼)
Also in The Netherlands! Its called a ‘kaasschaaf” and you have different ones for young softer cheese or older harder cheese. I dont know how I’d live without one
@@angelsnyder6381 I looked up the creator and found the original tiktok. They are not specific at all with their amounts or anything 😂 They just said to add paprika, garlic powder, cornstarch.
Have you ever tried a potato ricer? I have that same masher that you have, and I hate mashing potatoes. I bought a ricer, after seeing Sam the Cooking Guy use one. Game changer!
With the burrata recipe, if you fry something like that traditionally in fat you'd usually double coat it with eggs and breadcrumbs. If you didn't dry it first, then did the flour, etc, it would create a thicker coating to protect the cheese. Your other alternative is to try it in the oven with a ball of regular mozzarella.
I'm impressed with your biscuit opening skills. I have never been able to do it without a spoon or tapping it against the counter, or sweating because I literally can't open it 😂
What on earth is convenient about describing peoples height in feet and inches or their weight in lbs when you can use cm and kilograms for them, like you can with the rest of things?! If a couch is 2 metres wide and the armrests are 10cm wide, you'll know you won't be able to lie down comfortably if you're 192cm tall. If the dog food bag is 20kg and your partner weighs 78kg you'll roughly know what it'd be like to lift them. Same goes for temperature, 100°C is boiling, 0°C is freezing, you'll know that a 23° day is nice out and that 225° will burn your delicate food to a crisp.
Your outfit is fantastic, pink looks amazing on you but you always have the cutest clothes (and colours). Youre going to have to start linking your peices especially as a canadian girly I often cant get things I see on youtube as theyre US only/customs❤️❤️
I freeze my mashed potato and use it for bubble and squeak. I now have another use for it - so excited! I got my first air fryer (yes, I have two) almost 3 years ago and I haven't used my actual oven since.
Was thinking about the mashed potato puffs. I think you could crumble some bacon and add it to your mashed potatoes. Then you could cube some cheese and put the cubes in the center of the potato balls. Might be good too.
I just keep thinking about that video around Valentine’s Day, where Rachel said she didn’t love pink… 😂 while she was wearing a BRIGHT pink sweater. And today is wearing entirely pink. But we love it! ❤
Forgive me if I’ve repeated this, but a cheese knife makes all the difference in the world! Btw, you guys are awesome! Rachel + Christopher = Perfect Team!
Love all your videos so much. Get yourself some silicone liners for your air fryer. They have them for baking and small, small little molds for little cupcakes or big cakes, but especially for your lovely beloved Barada cheese.
judging from mozzarella stick rules, you’d want to double or triple dredge the cheese and make sure it’s frozen before (air) frying it. But good burrata is amazing all on its own like you said!
I love watching these 🥰 Try adding the spinach (& nutmeg, if you like) to the eggs while you're scrambling them. Roasted red peppers would also be a good addition. Subbing Grands biscuits would make for a more filling item. Those potatoes look delicious 😋
I think the biscuit pockets might be easier in an empenada maker. For the Burrata line the bottom of the air fryer with some nice bread. If the cheese explodes, you have good bread, if it doesn't you have toast and cheese.
I do that breakfast one with various breakfast mixes like sausage gravy, eggs, hash browns and cheese then after baking to a very light color I throw them in the freezer. Then I can just toss one into the air fryer for like 10 minutes through the week.
try making a boursin cheese ball in the air fryer; it’s amazing! Just egg wash the cheese, cover in panko/breadcrumbs, and air fry it! So yummy with wheat thins
One idea with the biscuit sandwiches you made is you could make them in advance and freeze them in a freezer zip lock bag. All you would need to do is pull them out, egg wash them, and cook them. Hope that idea is helpful😊
I love your videos and watch them allll the time, but I must say all I could think this whole video was how good your eyebrows look!!!! Also, I’ll be trying the biscuit recipe this weekend for my nieces and nephew!!
I just found you guys and I'm glad I did. Because of you 😂I made the folded sandwiches and I put them in my waffle iron. My husband lived them and wants them again. Your husband mentioned in one of the videos Yorkshire Pudding. My grandmother was English and we had it every Sunday with roast beef and gravy. I would love to know if they were made the same way. When we have roast beef I also make it.
As a Ukrainian Canadian I also love potatoes particularly mashed with bacon, chives and CREAmY dill is essentiaaly sour cream w dill! How can you not LOVE sour cream? My perogies are usuaaly smothered in sour cream and when available fresh dill.
RACHEL! I saw Hershey's cookies and cream "polka dots" in a Canadian Walmart today! (easter liquidation). they're not quite eggies (which had been discontinued) but may bring you joy nevertheless.
Yes...Degrees in the pool. My aunt has a pool and when I was young, Canada converted but my aunt did not buy a replacement thermometer for the pool until the 2000s. So, I know that mid 70s is acceptable temperature for the pool but I wouldn't know F temperatures outside.
fun eas recepy esp if you have been baking sweets ans havve egwash left over or just egg whites an yellow. mix the egg with veg cheese whatever you like and put it in a slightly hollowed out kaiser roll of baguette, in the airfryer for 5 ish min till egs are cooked. das all a lunch or snack
Ok but mashed potato “mozzarella sticks”/ mashed potato jalapeño poppers delicious!!! I made them pre air fryer era but they would be so much better in the air fryer 🤤
I would recommend double coating the burrata and then watching it like a hawk. Mozzarella cheese sticks have a tendency to burst in the oven if they're cooked for too long. The burrata has more moisture content, so you'll definitely have to be more careful with it. I'd pull it out at the halfway mark and then every minute thereafter just to make sure it doesn't burst.
Metric all the way for me: Celsius for all temperatures, kilometres/metres/grams for distances/heights/weights. My approximate conversion for F to C is halve it and take off 15 for a ballpark temperature
Hi Rachel, maybe instead of slicing the cheese with a knife you could try to shave it with a vegetable peeler?! I don't know how soft this marbled cheese is... maybe directly from the fridge or shortly putting it to the freezer to harden it a bit more 🤔 Greetings from Germany 🫶🏽 love your vids
I love how Chris tasting something involves him getting more stuff to taste it with, every single time. He's always prepared to add something.

Rachel's level of anger over the cheese is the most relatable thing I've seen on the internet.
You get silicone liners for airfryers. Make cleaning and adding new things a dream. 10/10 would recommend.
Lol I just commented the same before scrolling and seeing this. LOVE mine!
I'm surprised, they didn't tell you to put the burrata, into the freezer for a bit. That would firm it up so it doesn't explode.
That’s what I thought as I soon as I saw what happened. Idk what recipe she used but I found one that said freeze it for 15-20 min beforehand.
I woulda still ate it personally, melted cheese can’t be bad 😂 but yes this and some type of liner probably would’ve made it 100x better

Leaving the can out for a bit will help the biscuits warm and expand making it easier to explode.
I love that Canada uses the most convenient number system for each situation. 😂
