Title of Talk
Large-Scale Analysis of Medical Image Metadata
Abstract
In this presentation, I will share insights from a study conducted as part of the Enterprise Medical Imaging in Zambia (EMIZ) Project, centered in the Radiology Department of The University Teaching Hospitals (UTHs) in Zambia. Our assessment focuses on DICOM compliance in medical images, with a detailed outline of our analysis stages. The findings gathered can serve as a foundation for establishing guidelines that specify mandatory DICOM elements, ultimately enhancing medical imaging practices
Biography
Elijah Chileshe [2, 3] is a Research Student at The University of Zambia, focusing on the Enterprise Medical Imaging Project in Zambia. Additionally, he works as a Full-Stack Developer at QualiKeeper Investments Limited. Previously, Elijah served as a tutor at The University of Zambia, teaching courses in Software Engineering, Project Management, Computational Mathematics, Database and Web Technologies, and Mobile Applications and Development. He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from The University of Zambia in 2023, following his Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technologies with Education, obtained in 2022.
