This is indeed a masterpiece! The first time i listened to this song, i was so engrossed with it that i had to keep playing it over and over and over again. Imagine, i was actually expecting to see some white men who will be directing the song. But its all the works of we Nigerians! What a talent in display!
It will be awesome if the song is titled ILE IFE Orisun Yoruba or Yoruba Origin - Anthem 😍😍 It will get more view and our brethren in Brazil, Columbia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Barbados, Trinidad, JAMAICA, USA, Afro-Mexican, Panama, Guyana, Dominica Republic etc will easily see it and appreciate their Ancestors the more. They need this the most due to Racism they face daily. Subtitled should be on the video especially in English and Portuguese or Spanish subtitle. THIS IS WOW! *I like the fact that there are TWO SETS OF IBEJI (Twins) In This Band.*
This video really have to be our national anthem when we arrive Yorubaland. The previous song doesn't have the feeling of cultural tonality. sounds like catholic stanza. Kudos to the band
You are so right. The fact that I am seeing this video for the first time 2 days ago mean a lot of people who would really love to see it ain't getting to see it. I think the title used is not allowing RUclips algorithm to pick it up as much.
BABA Kabiyesi,Oni, Oba Ogunwusi ejigiri si oro ominira Yoruba, koto peju ki Iran wa maba parun mo fi Olorun olodumare ati awon to laye beyin, tori dugbedugbe to nbo loke yi Kabiyesi,Oni koto ja, ejowo ominira Yoruba lodun yi se koko,Olorun olodumare afunyin se, koni baje nigba tiyin.Amen
I can listen to this over and over again and again and again ... it makes me so ecstatic, overwhelming with goosebumps, right where i sit, soaring high up in the skies of fantasy.....because it is soul lifting.
Most inspirational Yoruba song ever. Reason it touches every listener soul is simply because it tells the story of our noble and humble beginning, Ife-Oodaye. And I believe all the Irunmoles in Yorubaland have infused their positive energies into this song. That first line and beat always give me goose bumps.
👏👏 infact I'm sure all 401 smile and sway majestically whenever this is played. We are a great people, such a shame majority of that greatness is buried. But songs like this and everyone involved in its making give me hope of a returning greatness!

Miriam Medes Good Morning! I ask the blessing of all! I'm Omi Koya ti Osun Ominibu, started 29 years ago! I'm from Campinas, São Paulo - Brazil. What a wealth of video! Faith, beauty, music, dancing rhythm, the joy with which each word is spoken, regardless of your timbres, which are wonderful ... Love, joy and respect for Our Sacred are "glaring" expressions, in full bloom of the skin, really! I wish that one day I could be there to embrace all of you, all of this ile ase, who touched me. I cry here, but it is a joy to have glimpsed so much faith in a musical project. Fraternal embrace to all involved
This anthem gives me goosebumps! In fact it's like they're signing my Oriki! Fact - all 401 Irumole smile and rock steady whenever this is played!!!❤🤜 👏👏💪
This is a superlative performance, the lyrics composition, vocal rendition and instrumentation is excellent, mind blowing. I feel a strong connection with the cradle as I listen to this brilliant work or art over and over again. Kudos to Team Definition, I love you all
As a matter of fact every full blooded Yoruba should listen to this anthem early in the morning everyday before going to wirk.It makes one to be a proud Yoruba.
Thank you for this beautifully rendered song and display of culture with excellence! We play it in our classes for the kids as a cultural experience! We all love It. Great work and keep it up!
Never heard this song before until I watched a featured program on ife odaye on gotv Africa magic Yoruba and the programe ended with awure ( blessings) from the Oni himself ( ojaja the second) and then this song. My head swelled cos it's a classic and it's worth listening to a thousand times over. Oluwa a ma ran wa lowo, olorun ama fun wa se!
May God bless you all for this soul lifting ancient ife anthem. Am proud to come from the source despite living in Canada diaspora, ile ife #myhomeyourprideourheritage
OMG! This is awesome! This reminds me of my childhood in Ile Ife - all the landmarks, statues and stories. It reminds me of all the stories of the valour of the great Ife people (and Yoruba at large) that my mum used to tell me! I remember learning the chorus of the anthem, although I used to say "... Odua a wewu jagun..." which I found strange as I thought people weren't going to battle naked in those days, apparently, it is that Oduduwa wears armour (ewu irin, I think 😂😊). Thank you, Oodua a gbe wa o.
Thank you beautiful people!!!this is great and quite impressive!!lets continue to protect cherish and uplift our heritage!!one love keep us all together !!Love you all
The composition, arrangement, organization, melody and rendition is epic with deep cultural flavour of what Ile-Ife stands for as it were. ..... the origin of Yoruba race.....I connect with the song because its one of a kind.
@@TeamDefinition Please do away with that Nigerian anthem. I saw a video of that and with our experience with Nigeria, the song doesn't have meaning. Compare that to people response to your Ile-Ile song. Just an opinion. We really appreciate and love this song. Very emotional.
I have been searching for words to describe this beautiful piece most especially cos my entire life existence can never be complete without Ile Ife. Ile Ife means a whole lot to me. Please can clearly make available the music score and the orchestration score of this tune for academic purpose? Don't mind paying for it if need be
Oh God! This is so beautiful. Dayum! Have you heard Ogun and Oyo anthems too? I think you should sing those too. They are absolutely stunning. If only there was a way to combine the wordings and the tunes of the anthems of all the Yoruba kingdoms to give us one formidable Yoruba anthem for our Yoruba nation, that would be great. Super excellent.
@@TeamDefinition lol. I just finished checking your channel and I saw the Ogun anthem. Well done, well done. You guys are good. Please, is it possible to merge all these anthems together in one glorious Yoruba anthem. The one we currently have sounds like nursery rhyme. We need an anthem that whoever listens to it will feel goosebumps. I know you guys can do it. I'll be looking forward to it. E ku ise. I am impressed.
Sorry to hear that. We Yorubas just need to show more love to ourselves. We first need to get ourselves from that God-forsaken country called Nigeria. It's only where justice is trampled upon that two sister communities would be going to war. I am sure if a just system was in place then, such senseless war wouldn't have happened. And when one investigate and ask what the war was about, I am sure it will be one trivial worldly issue.
Remember that the Yorùbá Race transcend the shores of modern day Nigeria. The Trans-Atlantic Slave trade saw to that possibility. Now you have our people all over the world, especially in South America, America, et al. Name any country on earth and we'll show up, live n direct....even in Antarctica 😅😃
I think in a song "Oranyan" will go with the flow much easily. It's a valid point anyway because I saw a video of a Yoruba elder from Oyo saying that people are using the wrong word.
Oranyan is a contraction of Oranmiyan. Like saying Oosha instead of Orisha. I hear what you're saying as that's how people get misinformed but I reckon they used Oranyan for a better flow in the track. Anyone that knows even a little bit of the culture will understand the contraction.
Befitting homage to "The source" of the great people of the Black world
Proudly Yoruba from Abeokuta, as in Egbaman❤❤❤

The Yoruba are a spiritual people. We are the teachers and leaders of the Afrikan continent and the world.
Ọmọ tí ÒLÚWÁ bí - Ọmọlùábì.
Hopefully we start living by it and our people wake up from their long slumber.

However, it eulogises the land of Ife more than Yorubaland itself...
But mehn, this song is spiritual...

I think gradually things are changing bit by bit. It's going to be a slow and long journey back up.

I think iparoje occur dere to balance the flows
I think in a song "Oranyan" will go with the flow much easily. It's a valid point anyway because I saw a video of a Yoruba elder from Oyo saying that people are using the wrong word.
