    Feb. 11, 2024 - Sixth Sunday in Ord. Time
    Readings: Leviticus 13: 1-2, 44-46; #Psalm 32: 1-2, 5, 11;
    1 Corinthians 10: 31-11:1; #Mark 1: 40-45
    The readings for the #6th_Sunday_in_Ordinary Time_for_year_B, invite us to contemplate on the theme of God’s healing, compassion, and the transformative power of God’s love.
    In the first reading from the Book of #Leviticus, we hear about the laws concerning leprosy. Lepers were considered unclean and were required to live apart from the community. They suffered not just physically but also socially and spiritually. This reading reminds us of the importance of showing compassion and mercy to those who are marginalized or suffer from any form of illness or exclusion. It challenges us to examine how we treat those who are on the fringes of society and calls us to reach out to them with love and understanding.
    The responsorial Psalm reinforces this message of trust in God's mercy and healing. It encourages us to turn to the Lord in times of trouble and to seek his refuge. It reminds us that God hears our cries and is always ready to guide and comfort us, especially in moments of affliction.
    In the second reading from Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, we are called to do everything for the glory of God. Paul emphasizes the importance of living a life that reflects our faith, and showing love and consideration for others. He encourages us to imitate Christ, who, in his compassion, reached out to the marginalized and the outcasts of society.
