- According to a new Eagles Report inside the organization, “Higher ups” are upset with the way Jalen Hurts answered a question about his Head Coach Nick Sirianni last week. Hurts’ comment seemed tame enough, however, that has not stopped a fresh barrage of media hit pieces asking if Hurts and Sirianni are at odds once again. This follows a very messy end to the 2023 season for the Birds. Do you believe Hurts and Sirianni are fine and will flourish come Eagles Training Camp?

Its that time of the year lol... It went from "he seemed confused by the first question" to, "That was kind of awkward do you think there's trouble between Hurts and Siriana" to "higher ups are mad at Hurts for the way he handled that question" lol it's just Philly media being Philly media. Same thing with the Kenny picket thing early in OTAs it went from 1 random dude tweeting "Kenny picket had a pretty good day it might of even been better than Hurts" all the way to what it became lol. I highly doubt Lurie and Howie are letting stuff like that leak out. If that happened it would have been between Lurie, Howie, Hurts, and Siriani not the whole front office.

I would say this story about drama or tension concerning Hurts and Sirriani is made up for clicks. I love Hurts' responses for the most part. He always stays on an even keel. There are no highs and lows with him. I told my son (even though he plays soccer) that Hurts' attitudes before and after games is the correct attitude to maintain. Don't get too high and don't get too low.

Yes, they certainly are. At least half of us expected Sirianni to be fire along with his coordinators. That he wasn’t fired was quite surprising to about everyone, and still concerns me. It’s obvious that Sirianni bears significant responsibility for the collapse last season, so, whether or not Hurts has lost some confidence in Sirianni, it is reasonable to expect that Hurts might have. What do we have instead, Philly media writing las though Sirianni has earned the same respect as Bill Belachick. Stop it.

This one is on Jalen Hurts! Hes ALWAYS been a calculated guy with his words. The fact he couldnt say ANYTHING about Sirianni does warrant some speculation considering they seemed to have a good relationship the past few years. Traditionally the media used to ask the player about their game play and performance. I think the media didn't do its self a favor with the AJ brown stuff and it seems like Jalen just didn't want anything to do with the way media like to spin stuff and it backfired. I think he's focused on that 95 percent new play book and can care less right now
Well either way again; it's all about perspective. He said he was great with his messages to the team, but if you look at last year, Siriani should have been intentional with the coaching and a lot of change should have been implemented. Hurts is as real as they come.

Do I think it’s overblown? Yes. Do I know why they kept Sirriani as the head coach? No. He isn’t calling plays, he’s supposed to be a locker room morale booster kind of coach but clearly isn’t very tight with their highly paid franchise QB. I can’t think of many highly successful teams where the QB and Head coach aren’t on the same page
Can anyone blame Hurts for not being a fan of Siriani even if that is the case?? They are complete opposites.. Jalen is Stoic, Nick is emotional.. Jalen is a QB, Nick is an incompetent play designer/caller and due to that fact Jalen will have to learn a new offense every year due to the turnover at offensive coordinator.. they are the most likely candidates for HC jobs. Jalen knows he cannot be the best version of himself consistently with Nick at head coach. I’d be annoyed too.

3. You could blame Nick for this since he and the last OC were scheming the plays last year or do you blame Howie/Lurie for hiring a new OC and making Jalen start from scratch - again?? ☹

Any way you look at it Jalen is dialed in this year. After the fantastic contract deal and the yearend poor performance the team rests on his shoulders whether he wants that responsibility or not. So maybe what he implied was “FU” coach, this is my team and I'm not going to let you screw it up again on my watch. You are putting me through hell! Hurts seems to have a big passive aggressive thing about him. Now who knows? Maybe there is ALOT going on behind the scenes and the whole place is a bad atmosphere...but Hurts as QB of a huge media frenzied team like the Iggs SHOULD be aware enough to say the right things to avoid controversy.

I hesitate to participate in this nonsense, but if a former player found Jalen's leadership disappointing, my first guess would've been Fletcher Cox. Fletch was the ultimate leader, and he wasn't afraid to hold teammates accountable. Having "issues", though? I don't see it. He'd encourage the young QB to grow, now run his mouth behind his back.

I genuinely think Hurts interpreted the question as an invitation to bash Sirianni. I also think the reporter was actually fishing for him to compliment Hurts. By interpreting the question as an invitation to bash the coach, Hurts went with a typical neutral, non-answer. Because it was actually an invitation to compliment Sirianni, his neutrality is being interpreted as a dig. This is a dumb non-story that is only being talked about because it’s the offseason and these guys need to write about something
