Matt you should start trying to find a dialed in upholstery shop. Getting factory items recovered might be better than trying to find decent aftermarket parts.
GM take notice put the sticker on the inside of the mirror cover that way you could read it once and be done it’s not like you have to refer to that every time you drive the car and it still there for the next person who buys it looks much better Matt
If the outline is still noticeable after the sun has got to it try hit it with a leather sanding pad to feather it out! Should work in blending the outline! BTW I love your work man, probably the most satisfying detailer to watch on RUclips!
Just a heads up I have the same steamer and use it on all kinds of cars and interiors and have had no issues, except Porsche leather is really thin and can dry up easily and I burnt some leather when trying to clean a seat using the same method I had on every other car i've used it on. - Great video. Those warning labels have always bothered me too.
@15:00 you can clearly see the garage homelink buttons on the visor. Then editing magic cuts and the correct visor is on the passenger side. :) I need to do this to my C7, but don't have a steamer. Looked so good when I peeled them of my ND Miata though which was just plastic visors.
Just bought a C7 the idoit before me cover the decals with furnace tape. I pull the furnace tape off which destroyed the decals Now i have to buy new decals. Why any one would fuck around taking decals off beats me.
Also curious why he’d steam the entire thing before spraying cleaner? Kinda tough for the cleaner to get into the material and lift out whatever is in it when it’s soaked with water.
It's so he can bitch about the inferior parts and materials used in the C7 versus cars that cost $50k more. Oh and for the views, the Corvette probably generates more views than most of his other projects. :)
Keep it simple, leave them on the car and just use a regular hairdryer - carefully, - with roof off. when you heat up the decal do not overheat the backing. if you have residue use GOO BE GONE, but test first on the edge first...
Still trying to justify buying a steamer as a hobbyist. Getting rid of my unsightly warning stickers may just do the trick. I’m sure may come in handy around the house once in a while.
Id highly recommend it. If you dont wanna spend too much, just get a Karcher SC3 Premium - Heats up super fast. Great for around the house as well. Cleans anything with ease.
What a junk car. Plastic everywhere, fake alcantara, sounds like dog shit. Why you would buy this when you have a Porsche which is 1000x more superior than this domestic junk is beyond me!!!!!

Looks great. Love how versatile steam cleaners can be. Use mine all the time for all kinds of things - cleaning, removing etc.
man that looks SO MUCH BETTER
it's the little things sometimes...
Never thought of doing this Matt, but it looks so much cleaner... thanks a lot now I have to do it lol

Mine came right off by hand and left no residue or outline 👍🏻
Man, that was easy, wish I had a steamer, very versatile tool. Great video Matt 👍👌

Great video! Cant wait to get my garage built so I can work on my cars!!!
Can stream be used on fabric style visors?
The glass broke on my driver side sunvisor ,how do I replace it. Thanks

Stickers are tacky old men.
NEED to do this on my C7! Just need to find someone with a steamer to let me use for 30 mins! Thanks for the video.
Electric razor to shave the alcantara. Will even up the finish from the area under the sticker.
Isn't that brush to aggressive for the Alcantara?
was thinking the same

It is, hence all the ripped out fibers. My 2012 Centennial Edition also has alcantara from the factory, with a mild brush it works just fine
This car in general is super dirty, but yes, it probably is a bit aggressive. It works well on all other Alcantara.

Good video, have always been afraid removing the sticker would leave a mark.
Awesome video 🔥🔥🤙🏼🤙🏼
I have a bmw 1-serie and it has the warning label as well on the outside
nice

Is those green towels the All Purpose Towel from The Rag Company?
Renholm Carspa www.obsessedgarage.com/products/interior-towel
That's exactly what it is.
Why would you keep doing these things if your gonna sell the car or your not a big fan of the car ?
Liam Mcgrath cause he likes doing it
For content. That and Bcs he can. His car his life
Wants to get it dialed in, then sell. He has his process that he does with every car
It's so he can bitch about the inferior parts and materials used in the C7 versus cars that cost $50k more. Oh and for the views, the Corvette probably generates more views than most of his other projects. :)
i'll turn it on triple steam...I don't like how wet it is - maybe turn it down a notch.

Use a Saddlery that work with leather.
How much would you charge for a job like this? Thank you!
That's using your head, Matty!!!

I didn't get one until recently, and I find myself using it all the time.
I used my steamer today to clean the grout between my tiles as well as the dirty fingerprints on the doors. Got an mc1375.
I hate those labels so much.
I really like your watch. What is it?
L8 APEX Apple Watch series 5 44mm with an aftermarket strap.
@@leoh.7160 That's the Apple Midnight Blue Sport Loop
Randy Lovin Looks good! I just have the original silicone band, nomad leather and the nike sport on my series 5.
What steamer are you currently using these days?
Dupray Tosca
@@ObsessedGarage thanks I found it while searching your previous videos. During the Caliper cleaning vid you pulled the Tosca from the cabinet.
Damn nice dude!!!
Would a hairdryer to the job also?
You could use that with alcohol and hair dryer to heat it up.
I was thinking about this well watching this video, which car do you prefer better, the corvette or the GT350?
Oh...definitely GT350.
wish i would have watched this before i used a heat gun like all the other tutorials.....melted the fabric on my visors.
Probably not suede cause you wet suede like that, it will lay down. Just like a jacket. Wear it in the rain and you ruined it
Isnt it law to have it ? It is in canada
Who gives a crap?
Great video. I’d take the outline vs the huge ugly sticker.
#boarshairbrush
Nah
Just use a hair dryer!
